MAKE THE DLC FREE : Fallout: New Vegas

Microsoft, Bethesda, and Obsidian all dropped the ball on this game. The least you guys can do to make some sort of amends, and as a token to your valued customers, is make the new DLC free of charge to everyone. It should have been the greatest game ever, and apologies just do not cut it anymore. You all know it should have been done better, so do the right thing for your customers and make the DLC free.

You got two free patches. The developers put their payroll and time into correcting and fine-tuning the game (and admittedly, making the arm-raise bug worse). This cost them an awful lot of money and they could easily have not done so.
I'm not absolving the developers and publishers. Yes, it's true they missed an awful lot of problems. Yes, they had a patch ready the day after release which indicates awareness of some of the problems. Yes, they have been less than forthcoming about the situation (although, considering the reaction to the little they said, who can blame them?).

But getting a free DLC is unworkable. Not everyone had game braking bugs, so not everyone 'deserves' free DLC. Besides, the pre-Christmas, X-Box exclusive DLC is, I'm guessing, there to sell some more X-Boxes. Maybe it can be free to people who buy an X-Box? :tongue:

I think this kind of logic may weaken the case for any compensation.

No point demanding something like Dead Money for free, it won't happen. Besides, reserve judgment till the DLC comes out, that content too may be buggy to hell

Microsoft would never let them, even if they wanted to. Look at Valve giving L4D free DLC's for PC, but on console you still gotta pay haha!

Besides, the game is awesome and your way of thinking (this game is broken; I demand more of it.) is weird. If companies decide to give out DLC's for free, be really happy with it. They could just as well charge for it! I don't really get the people who complained over the L4D DLC's... well maybe the Xboxers, but we PC players got it for free so then it doesn't matter if it was bad (like it sometimes actually was).

And I'm sure the DLC's for Fallout New Vegas will not disappoint at all and be worth the money, especially since Obsidian is writing it.

Because you got a few bugs and issues, you demand free content? The patches are more than enough. Granted I can't download them, I have been hearing good things about the patches. So Obsidian is picking up the slack. Trust me, your self entitlement is not an excuse for free add ons.
