No more F3 or FNV

Post » Tue May 31, 2011 12:38 pm

Take a great game like fallout 3 an add more thing. Fractions, ton more weapons, appeal, companions, EFFECTIVE SNIPING WITHOUT BEING SPOTTED, nice scenery, and u got FNV. I loved fallout 3 but I always got bothered by 3 things. All areas looked the same in fallout3 except for oasis. Travaling to new areas required you to go underground all the time. And guns weren't very good. Sniping never worked assault rifles were just bad. Only guns I used were Lincoln. Repeter and 10mm smg. Am sure we can all agree that vages has given us a beatiful scenary. Go get a rebreather and tell me swimming under. Water ain't cool. Guns in vages actully rock. Melée weapons as well:). So again f3 was great but we now have more options. Everyone loves choices. And a game with detail. FNV is very detailed and for that I love it.

Also stealing a pencil brings the entire town down on you. Edit: yeah it happens in New Vegas as well, not sure why I brought that up.

I liked having to travel through metro tunnels to get to the mall and Fallout 3 had more survival horror qualities to it than New Vegas.I didnt feel like it all look the same. You couldnt really be a good sniper on Fallout 3.the rebreather is the coolest thing ever.

Oh yeah. Don't you recall them in... and that one that popped up during... and that one time where it...

Fun times man.

I think you mean Factions, not Fractions. Unless you are referring to a fraction of a faction, which I guess is the group of NCR in the vegas area, as opposed to the whole of the NCR

Stealing a pencil!? Try picking up a squashed cigarette off the ground!
(do that in the casino at Primm and you'll have the whole lot of them shooting you full of holes.)

If someone barges into my house without my consent and starts stealing my stuff, I'm going to go grab my pistol and make sure they stop what they're doing immediately. If that means that I hold them at gunpoint until the cops show up, that's what I'll do. If that means that I need to shoot them, I'll do that too.

That's just in real life. Wasteland justice is even more swift.

Does this involve some random person that forced his way into my house?

I like traveling through the underground subway systems. And prowling around DC Wasteland. And I love the atmosphere of FO3.

I don't think one game is better than the other. They are just different in some ways. Both are fun to play. I do think most people have a preference for one over the other. My preference would be FO3. And that is mainly because I like exploring and FO3 has a lot more to offer in that area. FONV has the fabulous companions and Companion Wheel, cool guns and a better storyline. The writing is better and the dialog options are better, but I don't give a damn who gets the dam. And there are a lot of quests I don't care about either.

I always choose to be a sniper in my games. When I first shot the sniper rifle in FONV I was in hog heaven. It was great! BOOM! Then they ruined it with the latest patch. With the Sniper Rifle I was at least able to keep up with Boone. Now Boone is ruined as well.

Disappointing.

Well Oblivion was pretty whacked anyway. I never knew that getting away with murder was as easy as just paying a fine.

I have several times accidentally picked up things in all of the games, and have been flagged with a crime for it in Oblivion. I always wished they had designed it to call "thief" only after the PC takes a few steps away, or tries to leave with the items. Even ADOM has it worked into the shops that you must pay for what you pick up before you can leave.
(Actually I'd really prefer the option of the PC ~if skilled, to steal if they are able, and not be magically be fingered for the crime.)
