Custom Armour nif problem

Post » Tue May 31, 2011 6:55 pm

I've been trying to make a custom set of armour to use in Fallout New Vegas (Ranger Combat armour with Tesla shoulders) but when I use it in game instead of it appearing how it looks in nifskope all I see are floating shoulders, arms and my head. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what causes it?

yes, but need more info to help.

you haven't even stated in what program you have made this custom asset in, your export settings, nothing really.

It's best to simply post the nif and all related files. + any relevant information like export settings.

Urrrg... I don't suppose you would mind telling me how to do that? I don't even know where I would find my export settings or how to post a nif. I actually have very little knowledge of modding, nifs, scripting, computers etc. :\

just explain what you are doing in some sort of detail.

Saying what you trying to do and that all you see are floating shoulders tells me only you are doing something wrong or missed something. I cannot tell you what because you haven't said what you have done to go from point A to point B. You can't expect modders to be either psychic or spend ages randomly guessing.

an easy way to receive help would be upload the nif you have modified to a file sharing website, rapidshare/megaupload/whatever. Then, maybe, someone will look at and just tell what to do to get it working correctly.

Alright, I think this link should work? http://rapidshare.com/files/437843593/StormWalker.nif Sorry I've been so unhelpful :\ but thanks for telling me how I can do all this :) if that link doesn't work then basically all I've done is copy and paste the shoulders of the Tesla armour on to the Ranger combat amour and I've also copy & pasted the electricity effect...
