I am trying to make cactus water at a campfire...The recipe is, as you know: Prickly Pear Fruit and Empty Soda Bottles. I tried with Empty Sarsaparilla and Nuka-Cola bottles but it didn't work. Am I missing something?

I haven't made this recipe yet, but there is an object actually called, "Empty Soda Bottle' in game. Try the gas station in Goodsprings.

I would assume you have to use that and not a Nuka. Which, I agree, is dumb - sounds like a great minor mod.

I'm not a fan of crafting in this game, BUT have you tried just eating the prickly pear fruit?

I have...tasty. I didn't notice anything unusual about it. Again, did I miss something there as well? And thanks Depot, I'll head to Goodsprings...

Nah im just assuming your making the cactus pimp juice to replenish hydration and little bit of HP... which if i remember.. the prickly pear fruit does..... soooo yea just eat the fruit.. let the pimp juice go..

I am just curious as to how much more HP you get with it...I like to experiment.

Hey i decided to make another character just for fun and when i went to go kill that one dude in the gas station at GoodSprings... there was a bunch of empty soda bottles.

donno if it is a bug or not, but crafting "cactus water" actually gives you a purified water.

just a heads up

Probably intended, A Cactus survives by storing rainwater so during droughts it can live off its reserves. The rain water is probably naturally purified through the plant.
