WTF Bethesda......

So did your programmers fall asleep when writing this game. I really get ticked off when your broke game keeps crashing... I had to start 3 new games because for some reason you must read about 20 different forums on just what not to do or your game will crash. I would like to tell you sir fail at making games.

New Vegas is developed by Obsidian. Bethesda is the publisher.

The publisher is still responsible for making sure the game works before it is shipped, its there game they should be the ones to take the all of the blame. The game publisher should stop letting there fan boys defend there broken games.

Lets keep this polite, shall we?

Stop complaining. If you don't like the game, then don't play it.

Pip-boy Hacker has a point. You people will continue to defend Obsidian because in your eyes they can do no wrong because their staff includes some people that worked on FO2.

No. He bought the game. You did buy the game, didn't you? If so, it is unacceptable that he must now dance around Obsidian's holes and rotten boards.

You're so right! I pay 60 dollars for a game I except to attain to a certain quality and it seems to lack this, every patch seems to add more bugs than it removed and unfortunately some of us are stuck on consoles. I should stop complaining though because if my voice along with the other people in this threads voices are never heard it will solve all of our problems! :P Forgive me if I appear slightly annoyed but when I saw this game with the trailers at e3 I was expecting another fallout game with better features not a fallout game with even more astounding levels of beta bugs... I can't enjoy honest hearts might I add as it glitches and seems to black screen and freeze my xbox every time I leave a building or cave, I don't expect perfection, but are they even really trying, could they at least lie and tell us they're attempting to fix it with a weekly update blog or something? Is that too much to ask for?

I love how your first reaction to stand up to the great injustice that is people defending Obsidian when Crusader does in-fact appear to be defending Bethesda by saying that they didn't make the game and that Obsidian did.

There is no point getting angry or start criticizing the developers or the publishers, I know we are all saddened and out-raged but the majority of us are discussing the issues in a polite and respected manor. There is always light and the end of the tunnel and I'm sure Obsidian/Bethesda are more then aware of this issue and are doing there best to resolve it for us. Does anyone know what is causing the crashes?

Obsidian's inexperience with an equally as out-dated engine stretching all the back to when Oblivion was developed - so thats like 2004? New Vegas had a shorter development time and Bethesda kicked it out of the door before it was in a sellable condition. Let's face it, NV is a Bethesda Cash Cow to get some more money from a quick Fallout injection and to wring the last out of the Gamebyro engine that they are dropping now for the Creation engine used in Skyrim.

So If I'm reading your quote correctly, they used a out-dated engine dating all the way back to 2004 for such a large scale game!? I really hope they will fix Fallout: New Vegas, it's such a fun and exciting game, for now I think I'll head back to Fallout 3.

Well it's been updated a bit graphically and fixed but you can tell it plays just like Oblivion right; it's an old engine and they are finally using something new in Skyrim, probably one of the reasons it took so long.

It's such a shame they would go all out on Oblivion and leave Fallout players behind in the dust, although it's rude of me, I really miss Interplay, they were the ones who created the universe and they created it well.

Sorry, it had to be said.

Some of the core Fallout 1/2 developer joined Trokia before Fallout 2 was even finished. The rest left Interplay years later to join Obsidian or other developers. Interplay is in a zombie state for a decade now, their Fallout MMO will never be released.
