Can't Enter HH

This is a companion related issue. I am literally trapped with ED-E as my companion. I lost him a LONG time ago, so I have no saves to revert to. I never had a problem with ED-E until I completed 'ED-E My Love'. I gave him to one of the Followers of the Apocalypse people to upgrade his stuff, and it said he returned to Primm. I really liked having ED-E, so I went to Primm, and got him. But I remembered I had messed something up just a bit before I gave ED-E away to the Followers, so reverted and thought 'okay I'll just redo it, I'm not too far anyway'.

So I fixed what I did wrong, gave him to the Followers, but some where in between ED-E disappeared. He is no where to be found in Primm, I tried the Vault 22 elevator thing, looking all over the place in my suite at the Lucky 38, and even tried using console commands. (I'm on the PC btw). I read that if you used the console command 'player.moveto' then enter ED-E's ID, you can target him in the console and kill him, and resurrect him, and retrieve him in Primm. I tried the whole player.moveto thing, but it teleports me to a room with no windows, or doors. Just walls. It says I am in 'Hoover Dam Dummy Room' or something like that. I have tried to kill him through the console, but it says I am doing something wrong. I even tried the 'wait a week in game' thing. That didn't work either.

Right now I am about to switch to hardcoe mode and hope that something kills ED-E so I will be free of him at last.

So, due to all of this, I cannot begin the Honest Hearts DLC (that I got today). It says I need to dismiss him as my companion, but as you read, I cannot. Any commands, tricks, remedies? For now, I am forever plagued with his Enhanced Sensors perk, and inability to enter Zion.

There is one way you can fix everything. Play Dead Money. At the beginning of the dlc it removes all companions you currently have with you (even ones you don't) and starts you off at zero (meaning you can be fresh for Honest Hearts when you get done with Dead Money). The companions will return home and you will be rid of them. Then it is a simple process to play Dead Money. If you have already done Dead Money...this probably won't help you. still hope this helps someone.

edit: this is the only full blown way I know of getting rid of this annoying glitch. if the pc commands did not work you might have typed them incorrectly. I'm not sure as I don't play my PC version of the game too much.

I took the Dead Money thing into consideration, I was thinking, I can just enter, and go back with ED-E out of my system. I downloaded the DLC a long time ago, and even played some of the game (until I was stopped by glitches), but I just tried to enter the Abandoned BoS Bunker, and it says the door is locked! It's never been locked before! I'm trapped. -.-

Ummm......I don't play this game on PC, so I can't help you with console commands, and the tips..... I don't know any that you didn't mention.
So my only suggestion is to start a new character if you want to play Honest Hearts. Too bad your main character (I think) will never get HH equipment unless you find a way to free yourself of the Curse of the Companion.
