Didn't your last thread on this disapear into the void of nothingness?

Anyway it's just not plausible or pratical.

I'm sure this guy must be a troll. How many times has he had it explained to him that the GECK is what the devs use; there is no v2.

3D scanners can only scan 3D objects, they use lasers to map the object in 3 dimensions. There are no scanners that can scan a flat 2D page from a book and extrapolate that to a 3D model. At all, There are none. To extrapolate from 2D to 3D takes a human imagination aided by modeling software.

The only way to create items for Fallout 3 and NV is to build it yourself the hard way. Make the spine, apply the meshes and then the textures. Then you have to apply effects and then the stats that govern those effects. That's it. No other way for the foreseeable future, like at least a few years.

Sorry to disappoint but it just don't work the way you are thinking. It would be nice if it did, but it doesn't.

Creating 3D computer models and animations is still fairly hard and tedious work. It will be this way for some time to come.

Creating a talking toaster with an AI, well now that something we should all be working towards before 2D to 3D scanning.

Nah, i prefer a cat for that. Doesn't talk back, doesn't use electricity and is more than twice as soft :D

They can be very sharp at the bottom at times, though.

Granted, but can your cat offer you a piece of hot buttery toast, or a waffle even?

I think not good sir.

I bid you good day.

Nah, but you tie that same piece of toast to it's back and you've got Anti-gravity

A toaster is just a death ray with a smaller power supply. Remember to respect them!

So looking forward to Old World Blues.

The only computer that is capable of this is the human brain, and the only scanners that would perform like you want are the human eyes.

This idea always reminds me of weird science.
Next he'll be suggesting we make a woman and wear a bra on our heads...
