I've had Fallout New Vegas for a while and it worked fine. Up until it was updated. Now whenever it starts, I can't use my mouse at the start menu (where all the options are for playing the game, changing settings, etc.) it just doesn't register the movement. I can't use the mouse at all within the game screen, the cursor sits in the middle of the screen and I just can't move it. I have already tried to uninstall the game and then reinstall but it still stops working. Again I can start it up but as soon as it loads to the start menu my mouse doesn't register, it works fine on the desktop just not when the game is run. Its as if the game is frozen, yet it loads right up to the start menu and changes background images every few seconds. I've even tried windowed mode to see if there is a problem but my mouse cursor works in the desktop and not in the game window. I've tried to keep the game from updating but steam won't let me do that ( I don't know why since its not a multiplayer game and therefore not really necessary to update). Anyways any help on fixing this would be great.

P.S it also seems as though the keyboard arrow keys wont move through the options (not sure if you could in the first place) but i can still ALT+TAB and CTRL+ALT+DEL and ALT+F4 so I don't know. Again any help would be great.
