Well I'd get HH because it's a lot more fun than DM.

Bah! I can't just post this. Dead Money's gameplay is exceptionally challenging as far as Fallout goes, many players on these forums say it's downright frustrating, but that's because they aren't willing to adapt to simple gameplay mechanics.
It also has a great atmosphere and deep backstory to it and some sweet items you can bring back.

I think DM is a real adventure, while in HH you just run a few errands for Joshua and when you're done they hand you a bunch of unique items in a box.

For Dead Money:

Make sure to pick up the weapon repair kit schematic thingy in the police station. It's on top of some cabinets near the prison cells.

Also, yes you can take all the gold in the vault. I'll give you a hint-go for the "sneak out the vault and lock his butt inside" achievement.

I just finished HH last night and DM the week before. Both fun, both very different from each other. DM is much much harder than HH tho and take heed of the level warning screen you get before starting DM. It is wise to follow what it says. For HH, just take an Anti Material rifle with you with lots of .50, and you'll have great fun.

Answer? Just get both. Both give you good weapons and kit to carry back in with, and they're a pretty cheap buy really. Oh and they each give a +5 level bonus cap too - which is well worth it.

I'd get DM first.

Better weapons.
Better armors and clothing.
Better characters. (Far better)
Better storyline.
Longer.
More challenging.
Better atmosphere.
Better perks.

I'd get DM first if you can only afford one.
But if you have money that you're just going to burn you might as well buy HH too.

Dead Money.

Greater story line
Longer
Deep, dark feeling
A Sense of acomplishment when completed
A bloody good adventure
Scarey

Honest Hearts has nice scenary and a good companion, but apart from that, it feels more like a mod then an addon. Lacks a decent story line, like a previous poster said, more of an arrend sort of DLC, rather than a gameplay one.

I would get both, but DM for me :)

I bought DM yesterdat. I entered it at lvl 29 I think. It have been alot of fun, I love it. The thing warns you that it would be challenging and that you should at least be lvl 20+ before entering. So I don′t see what people are complaining about. The DLC gives you alot of good gear and the BoS bunker is a marvelous place to set as a home afterwards. I haven′t played Honest Hearts yet, but I belive it′s very good though.

I think they are both wonderful DLCs. If you prefer more open world style, get Honest Hearts. It's like Point Lookout, pretty much. The story is shorter but it really shines in exploration. Dead Money is pretty linear, but there is a bit of an exploration aspect (though the map is very small) and you can choose the order in which you accomplish your tasks. Also, as has been said, the story is a bit more fleshed out (more resources were allocated towards having the big sandbox map in Honest Hearts, I assume) and there is more options and choices. It boils down to what you prefer. But really, I'd recommend both. They're great.

If you can afford it buy both tbh.
I don't know how often you replay games, or if you have patience to hold off completing a game until all DLC are out.
If you do it's better to get both, as once you finish the game the dlc are not going to be as big a draw for you.
Get both start up a game, finish the game in one continuous run.

Gaaah I refresh the page after an update and Elmo pops up :brokencomputer: , my joke is back firing on me.

Well I'm going to have to say buy all of them if you have the money.

I just played and beat Dead Money earlier this week (37 somethings now hidden by me throughout the mohave...). Dead Money has a very linear story but depending on how strong your character is, how much you explore, how often you get lost, whether you have a need to attack every enemy you see, etc... various things will decide for you. Dead Money is very linear but has a good story, interesting characters (with good voice acting), has a unique more horror feel to it than other fallout games (it reminded me a bit of the building in FO3 (Dunwich building (spelling might be off)). The rewards are decent and it can be a challenge. The downsides are that you can't return so it is a one time dlc (unless you play with multiple characters).

Honest Hearts on the other hand is pretty devoid of any real story, has some awesome items and side quests, rather boring companions and characters, is great for exploring, can be returned to, beautiful location, lots of good items to find, and depending on the person may last longer or shorter than Dead Money. It is for explorers more than anything else I believe. It has a more traditional fallout feel to it in some ways.

Old World Blues if you go to the fallout wikia you can watch a 5 minute preview of the dlc and needless to say it looks awesome. No one knows exactly how well it will do so it would be taking a chance but when one of the characters is a toaster trying to start the 2nd apocalypse (regardless of whether it is or isn't a main character) how can you go wrong? From the previews it looks quite large and should be full of a bunch of zany items and characters. If you like the zaniness of fallout games then this is probably your best bet.

lonesome road: nothing is really known about this yet but it may give the Player some info on the Courier's past. linear. that's it for now.

I like DM but i though HH was far better.

You can revisit the place.
Awesome weapons(dead money had alot of good ones to)
Great story
Great atmosphere
Great setting
The characters are well done.

Dead money got a little tiresome after a while and i had the need to finally say"Finally im done with it" once i finished it. Its good but it does get a little repetitive.

Both are great.

I would get Dead Money first and the Old World Blues but if you really want to learn more about the Burned Man then go get Old World Blues. Both have great weapons but OWB has a Tommy Gun and Colt .45.

Depends on what you enjoy and what level your character is that your playing. Dead Money suggests that your character is level 20 although some posters here have said that they have completed it on lower levels when starting it. Honest Hearts doesn't seem to have a reccomendation when you start that DLC.

The games have very different feels.

Dead money feels like you are in a situation of one of the saw movies mixed with oceans 11. Dark, dreary, desperate at least at the beginning. Its enjoyable if you are prepared to be careful and use strategy alot of the time. Charging into situations or around the map will get you killed in a nanosecond.

Honest Hearts is wide open, blue skys and even rain. Creatures and people to shoot.

Both DLC's have some nice loot in them.

Personally I did Dead Money first then Honest Hearts. To me it was a good progression to go from the cooped up sunless scenario to wide open places and beautiful scenery. But to each their own.

Just finishing up Dead Money, started it at 24, am up to 28 and at the vault. The story is interesting enough so far, I guess, but as far as enemies go, I'm really desperate to shoot a nice fat Fiend or Gecko or Legionary, because nothing but spastic ghost hunters for four levels is pretty dang boring, in the combat dept. DM is a must-have if you use energy weapons at all, the Holorifle rocks pretty hard if your EW skill is good. Other than that, the standard weapons are ok, but nothing earth shattering... BAR and police pistol being most notable. Heh, I probably killed 90% of the shamblers just with the police shooter. Downsides- butt ugly levels, all the same, ugly red and brown with purple air. Good environment to piss off the player with endless hidden beartraps, if that's a positive thing... but otherwise pretty dull, drab and awful looking, IMO. I'd play it with any future characters, just for the nice weaps and armor, but I'm glad this char won't have to (and can't) go back for any reason.

This. Dead Money was just "run here, do this, avoid ghost people. Redeem Sierra Madre chips for Blamco Mac and Cheese." Honest Hearts made you actually have an emotional connection to the people living in Zion.

Well for me, DM played as if they'd tried to reproduce the atmosphere of BioShock but failed. It felt very linear, you just go from one task to the next and it feels as if you're rushing through as quickly as possible, it entirely lacks the open world feel of FO games and half of it is played in a depressing environment.

HH on the other hand is open, feels very big for a DLC and while it's short if you just follow the main quest, it really rewards exploration and has an excellent, genuinely touching, back story that emerges slowly as you travel around, explore and talk to people.

I replayed it three times and still pop back to visit. You can't go back to DM.
