I really, really just want to say good things about the games that I've purchased from Bethesda. I own a PS3, and played all three games. AND Yes, I've experienced "buggy" situations in all three games, Fallout3, Elder Scrolls IV, and now, New Vegas. BUT, New Vegas, inspite of the better improvements of gameplay, has also introduced "superbugs", not in older games, but only in New Vegas. So, hopefully, developers, powers that be, will read this, and do something, maybe two things. Create a super fix, so the gamers/customers, would be happy with the game, bought by their hard earned money. OR, DO NOTHING, and let the "Squeaky Wheels" just fixed itself, and go away. It seems, that each time I re-start my PS3 on "Safe Mode", there is always some kind fo File System corruption, and has to be restored. Did not have this problem with the previous games, or any other game. I've already told your Customer Support/Technical Support, that if the issues are not resolved, I would like to ask for a full refund for the purchase of a game that is supposed to be enjoyable, but it seems, it has taken away ten years of my life just from the issues this game have. I want my life back. FIX the problems. HELLO?

Yeah it's been over a month since the last time since we got an upcoming patch update so I don't think a patch will come... ever.
They're probably enjoying a super long holiday playing games that don't actually have horribly to much bugs.

restoring the file system will always say your hard drive is corrupted. it doesn't mean it actually is, it's just a default message.

the freezing is Gamebryo's fault, an old faulty engine that Bethesda knew was defective and used anyway. they won't be putting it in the new skyrim, and hopefully not in future titles as well(fallout 4/5)

must say this is the same thing which made me give up on new vegas for a Long time. the thing Does corrupt the system, three times in One day it froze, 3 times i switched it off and on again Normally, 3 times "The System's Hard Disk Database Will be Rebuilt"... so much for the thing on the PS blog way back when, "Yes, this fallout Will be stable."

it's so bad i have physically lost the will to play the game for more than 10 minutes at a time. it wiped the entire stored PSN messages box and went back to a previous autosave with the fallout... somehow it lost an hour of progress. at least post-patch i haven't seen as many Radscorpions stuck in the ground i guess.

when you restore the file system, whether your HDD is corrupt or not it will say it is. it's just a default message that comes up everytime to restore the file system. it doesn't mean that your HDD is corrupt for sure.

...accepting that, it's Only when i am actively playing fallout new vegas that it does the rebuilding thing at All. i never Told it to restore the file system, and even when other games froze and i used the exact same method (Switching off/on again) to fix it it didn't do that. this is on games both before and After new vegas...

Whether it's truly corrupted or not, having my PS3 waste quarter of an hour sometimes rebuilding itself just because i tried to play New Vegas for more than an hour or so at a time is quite irritating. more so as this rebuilding seems to be random in how much it actually rebuilds...

That quarter of an hour or so rebuilding the 40gb drive, then finding the message that was sent to me on PSN was deleted during the rebuild, or that with the longer rebuilds the game invite has expired or they started without me when it was online games related... a frustrating thing.

my mistake, I misunderstood. I've never heard of that. I have no idea.

Ah well, thanks for trying to help. so far the only solution I've found, as it makes a mockery of the saving often solution to freezing by re-writing the auto-save back to how it was half an hour ago or earlier, is to just not play the game for any long period of time...

Half an hour, even an hour or so should be ok. the obsessive level playing like i was doing, where it's only even Paused when i go to eat, sleep, or whatever... practically guaranteed to happen sooner or later.
