WhyI believe Brink will have a sequal.

Now, I think we can all agree that Brink really lacking in content. Really lacking, and yet, it was delayed several times and took several years to make. I know many people and myself have raised the question " What the hell has SD been doing all this time?"
I think they were making Smart. I think it must have been really hard to make and it must have taken a long time. So after making Smart, they put all their efforts into making the rest of the game. I don't think they would waste all that time and money just for one title, right? Maybe Brink was more like saying "look at this tech we've made" sort of thing, and the reap full blown thing will be released in afew years.
Also, Brink's publisher Bethesda sure as hell isn't running out of money anytime soon. They are still getting money from the two last Fallouts, they have Skyrim to look forward to, as well as Rage. I'm sure they'll have some spare funds for SD to make a real triple A title.
What do you guys think? Sequal or not?

A sequel is nice, but it's WAAAAY too early to think about that. I'd expect more talk of DLC's and patches and stuff... A sequel is a minor possibility in the near future but not yet.

That long to make a simple movement system that hardly does anything promised?

Sure, we can vault and perform a couple simple jumps. But how long could all of that really taken?

As for a Sequel, I highly doubt that one will ever be released. Sure, Bethesda has the money, but why waste it on S.D, when they have already proven themselves not worthy of the devotion and resources they received.

Everyone before me said it best, it would be nice to see a sequel in the future. We need to focuz on DLC and patches right now, not a sequel.

Down in the deepest core of me I want a sequel, and I can totally see why the game lacks so much content. But I have always been quality over quantity (now let us not harp on lobbies and texture pops right now. Quality of content is what I am talking about) and I am sure we'll have lots of DLC coming our way. BRINK is like a wine. It'll age nicely or may go completely bad and we'll have to throw it out. I know if it goes the later way I'll have a huge hole in my heart.... T^T

I think the general negative reception with prove otherwise. People don't tend to back things that don't make money.

While that is true, so to is the fact that there have been HORRIBLE games...far worse then what some people perceive Brink as...that have gotten sequels. Bring didn't do to well as far as initial sales, but it didn't do poorly either. It's middle of the road really. That in itself is more then enough incentive for a potential sequel down the road. But like others have said, fixing the game we have now is paramount.

But it's a multiplayer game with no life. You don't back that. At least, i've never seen any one back that.
Although you're right, I mean, however the hell people keep buying Treyarch's CoD's is beyond me.

I dont think people gave Brink enough time. I think they saw all these great titles coming out and they decided to sell brink to buy these new ones. They didnt realize that this game is a gold mine. S.M.A.R.T. is what i think is what would get Brink a sequel.
