Just absolutely constant freezing

So basically, I can't go 15 minutes without the game locking up. Sometimes it's a screen freeze, sometimes it's a blank purple screen, sometimes it's infinite roulette loading screen. I've tried deleting the patch, clearing the system cache, installing the game to my hard drive, uninstalling the game from the hard drive, installing it to the hard drive then deleting it then re-installing it, I've tried turning off all of the autosave features, I've tried playing without the Pip-Boy radio on, etc.

This has been going on since February.

I don't know what else to do, are there ANY suggestions to avoid freezes?

Unfortunately, Obsidian is a [censored] developer whose programmers can't do their [censored] job and Bethesda is a greedy monolith that decided to sell us a broken product for full price instead of delaying the game for a bit, so now I have to work around THEIR failures. God this is frustrating.

Oh and a sidenote- I have no idea if this is the problem or not, but I have a relatively large number of saves of the game, it was 72 saves for a while and thinking that may be the problem I whittled them down to 50, do I need to go lower?

No. It's just a broken game. People stuck on XBOX just have to deal unfortunately. The PC modding community can fix stuff but for console users, we're screwed and there's really nothing we can do about it. The one thing we could do is boycott all Bethesda and Obsidian products. To those saying Bethesda didn't make the game, that's true, they didn't. However they chose to publish it in such a sorry state and if I were to wager who was ultimately responsible for New Vegas being shipped in such a piss poor state, I would bet Bethesda was rushing Obsidian for a fast release and wouldn't give them the time they needed to fully debug it. However I still hold Obsidian responsible as well because they demoed the game on XBOX in every demo video I watched and no where did I see any of the issues that people have been having. Aside from illegally modded systems, an XBOX is an XBOX is an XBOX. There's no reasonable excuse for them not knowing about these issues. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone told me that Obsidian was running specially scripted demos to keep those glitches from showing up.

I'm having the same issues, the game now qualifies as broken. I've cleared the cache, etc. to try to keep the game from freezing but it continues to lock-up every few minutes. This is after nearly 50+ hours in the game and I haven't even played the DLC (which I bought like an idiot) yet.

Actually, the one thing that works on F:NV for me was the DLC. I was able to get through DM and HH with only 1 crash the entire time. It was so refreshing lol.

It's still such a moral shame that Bethesda would charge us for DLC after knowingly selling us a broken game, though. The only reason I'm not selling my disc is because I have some sense of human decency and won't sell someone else a broken product. It's too bad Bethesda has no such scruples.
