So...I know this is kinda a joke...but do you think Ulysses might be your father? (we know from Fallout 3 that it doesn't matter what race a single parent is) I mean...during character creation, mother can mean regret to your courier, maybe you killed your mom? He can't really be your lover because it wouldn't work well for most players (I wonder what percentage of players are straight males :hubbahubba: ) He could be your brother, but you'd have so many more awesome Star Wars references if he was your father...but your courier could be old as the hills too.... :sadvaultboy: hmmmm....Am I being silly? bliviongate:

However that was only on my first run, and I have never seen that dialog option again... so maybe I am putting things in where they don't belong...

Ulysses is actually your imaginary friend. The events in Fallout:New Vegas are a simulation, and you are test subject #74894 trapped in the ruins of the Mariposa Military Base. When it was destroyed the simulation pod you were in, stayed intact, running on it's own for hundreds of years already. Ulysses was a companion implemented before the base's destruction, so you would keep from going insane while in the simulation. But the simulation is running it's infinite course, and you will only be released from the pod and into your prison at Mariposa once you confront Ulysses.

EDIT - What if, Ulysses turned out to be from New Reno and it turns out Courier 6 slept with his partner/child/relative/etc.
