Where does your brain go?

Post » Mon Jun 13, 2011 7:46 pm

I was wondering this while I was watching the Qore thingy, when you lose your brain where does it go, what happens to it, do you get it back? I personally think it goes into that weird gun you get its the machine gun thing on the Qore. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPgWDZVSN4Q&feature=youtu.be

Maybe they dont really "steal" your brain but rather they hijack it, like when you get there your gassed, knocked out, when you wake up, they say they performed surgery on your brain, inserted an electrode or something, and if you dont do what they want they either, give you a zap to keep you in line, fry your brain, cause you do have a brain aneurysm and end up hemorrhaging and dieing from bleeding in the brain, or maybe just have a little explosive implanted in your head and you mess up and POP off comes the top of your skull and with it all the juicy, squishy bits from inside.

Your brain does not go into the K9000 aka the "weird gun". A dog's brain goes in there.
But I just think that it would go into a container with weird liquid, or in one of those floating bots. Forgot what its called. Its a bot with a brain in a........container, three screens, one eye on one screen, one eye on the other, and a mouth on the bottom screen.
Edit: Think-Tanks, yeah those things.

I think it'd be quite an interesting turn of events, if they put something in your head to keep you alive, and your brain goes into a Think Tank. Then the Think Tank with your brain, can be the emulation of your personality, in a robot. Like, it'd be pretty cool if you had to like fight yourself. :3

If they put your brain in a Think Tank it would be like having two Courier Sixes. It would be quite paradoxical. :3 Robotic Doppelgangers ftw?

I was wondering who actually takes your brain? Its not like the Think-Tanks can do it. Maybe a Mister Handy. It does have a flamethrower (not needed), saws, and many other things.
Maybe it will be a Mister Gutsy who takes your brain. It would be weird if a Lobotomite took your brain. :spotted owl:

I doubt it'd be a Think Tank because the Think Tanks consist of important scientist's brains. What would make the Courier so special? Unless they thought you were someone else, and put your brain in a Think Tank to welcome you to their collection and later in the game you can hijack your own brain. :3

Kind of like in Neal Shusterman's skinjacker trilogy, where Allie skinjacks herself. :3

My guess is they replace your brain with a cybernetic version that only functions in The Big Empty. Forcing you to get your brain back just so you can leave.

I don't know why people keep saying this, getting a piece of brain cut out by a guy in a swamp after getting drugged is not similar to getting your entire brain cut out in a top secret research facility. The only similarity is that it has to do with surgery and your brain.

Well there's your similarity, you've answered your own question.

Besides, who knows if there is any other similarities, the DLC isn't out yet.

So how could you say with any degree of accuracy that it is nothing like point lookout.

I was meerly drawing on some connections I could make on info that was given.

Why be obstinate just for the sake of being so?
