Joana

So, it turns out if you do the Omerta Loyalty quest before Bye, Bye Love, Joana (the mistress of the Gomorrah courtyard with brown/auburn hair, not the middle-aged, short-haired blonde) dissapears. Now, one of the possible endings (in fact the only proper ending if you're not Legion) is to take out Sal and Nero, and put The Pig (Cachino) in charge. From Cachino's diary (what a chick, right?) we know that he likes the rough people up, makes side deals, and spends a lot of time with Joana, Carlitos' lover, now that the aforementioned Carlitos is out of the picture at Vault 21. In fact, in the process of Bye, Bye Love, where you free Joana, Cachino's thugs try and kill you, Joana, and Carlitos.

So, this begs the question, what does it mean that Bye, Bye Love is unplayable after you complete the Omerta loyalty quest? If you side with the Legion, Cachino dies, which means theoretically, that Joana could just leave and be with Carlitos again. But what does it mean if you hand Cachino power? Yeah, he was a bit of an ass, but he didn't seem downright evil, so it seems alright to give him control. However, if Joana dissapears and he has thugs out for Carlitos once you complete the quest, does that mean there's a DEEPER LAYER OF EEEEEEEVIL?!

Did Cachino kill her? Secure her in his suite and kill off Carlitos? Ruin the lives of two New Vegasites? What does it mean?!

Or, is it just the eliminaton of an extraneous quest that can be used to lead into the Omerta Loyalty quest and is no longer necessary once the bigger quest is completed?
