Money troubles and a break in canon?

I've been on Fallout wiki recently and came across these reports.

gamesas is having money troubles. :o

gamesas gets out of money troubles. :?

Bethseda accuses gamesas of breaking Fallout canon

The money troubles are quite confusing to be honest, I don't know what to say about this.

And as for breaking canon, don't do that. I accept that Fallout 3 wasn't made by the usual Fallout boffins and that there are a few consistancy errors here and there (and only a few), however I do think the game is worthy of being a sequal to the franchise. If you guys seriously are thinking of disregerding the game as canon (and I hope not)....then....well....thats pretty childish and thats coming from the guy who gets into stupid and meaninless arguments with your siblings.

I hope the guys at gamesas can clear this up if I (or/and the people who wrote the articles) have missed anything out. I hope gamesas and Bethseda stop this bickering, its getting a bit out of hand (and a bit silly).

Do you guys have an opinion on this? I'm gonna to eat you up and be singing that 'Happy Tummy' song.

Well, since you asked, yes I have an opinion.

I am of the opinion that I am going to wait and see what the outcome is before getting all worked up over half fact reports.

I am of the opinion that I support gamesas (hence why I am on these boards and not some where else's boards.)

I am of the opinion that some other company's spend money and time, attempting to make rivial companies look bad.

i love how apparently changing locations would be considered breaking cannon. so then the other company broke cannon by changing location, but that's ok since they bought the license right? what a joke, you can't have it both ways. you either stick to the original cannon or break it.and the other company obviously broke it if you can't change locations to stay in cannon. since it's not a sequel to the original line of fallout games and will most likely be seen as a spin off like Tactics or BOS,why would they need to stick to cannon anyway? Yeah, I mean, look how much Warcraft canon WoW broke when it came out, and they were both made by the same company. In fact, here's a comical rendition of that very statement: http://www.nerfnow.com/comic/463

This kind of stuff happens all the time when a franchise moves to MMO format. I put the 'Skill' in 'Kill.'
Wait, what?

Lol MMorpgs usually dont follow single player cannon anyway. Either way bethesdas games in my opinion shouldn't be counted in cannon because they were terribly off in their own direction not even close to the original games which fvcking rule lol. If they do pick up the games cannon lets say during the masters reign of power so be it, ill play it along with millions of others who love fallout.

the point is that the "other company" is trying to make a case on an idiotic premise, they state that gamesas can not use the main cannon yet are protesting that gamesas is not being true to the cannon.

it's like trying to fine someone for not walking on the grass you told them to stay off of.

I'm content to patently wait for Skyrim to turn into a total rim-job as these guys have obviously gotten less competent as the years go by. hay, "OC" ..... i got something for ya right here! _|_ (^.^) _|_

The point is is that they want to be the ones to make the game. They don't want gamesas behind it, so they're coming up with every excuse they can think of to get them out. That's all this has been the entire time. I put the 'Skill' in 'Kill.'
Wait, what?

I agree. It would actually be quite an ingenious stroke on both companies behalf if they could.. I don't know... collaborate in a friendly efficient manner. Like listen to each other's ideas, give constructive criticisms, and come to mutual agreements without sacrificing the sheer amounts of awesome Fallout can offer.

For the record, I'm not trying to sound like a hippy. I'm saying gamesas is a creative, unique powerhouse. Bethesda is a constantly evolving company that is doing amazing things in every direction they go. If they could just both get along, I think we could see something that blows WoW out of the water and redefines the terms MMOG, and leaves any hints of Rift snuffed in the wake.

But ya know, that's just me.

gamesas can do that on their own, besides the other compeny seems to be childish and greedy. at least that's the impression i get from these ridiculous lawsuits that have zero merit. Image
