Hey there, I just finished New Vegas, and i decided to start a new character now a female with good karma, i also decided to go with the hardcoe mode on.


What i'm asking is any good spot for a hardcoe player to live at ? I use Survival alot aswell.

All the help you can give is apprieciated. Not just on living places, EVERYTHING

Live........at?......Well, I'm not getting what you're saying. Why would you need to live somewhere? Are you role-playing? On my hardcoe mode save I didn't live anywhere at all. I just beat the game wandering the wastes and doing stuff.

Edit: Oh and tips, yeah: Keep a good supply of Doc's Bags and/or Hydra. You can make Hydra and Doc Bag yourself if you have the skills and materials. Keep much Radaway too. Keep a good supply of water (perferably purified) and always keep at least 1 of those drinks that reduces your SLP bar.

Well, my english isn't perfect so first, apologies, if you didn't understand me, i mean't places that are close to a Water source and has a bed, and safe storage.

Oh, I didn't notice anything wrong with your English except some minor flaws. But put that aside.
Most Safehouses have water fountains, safe storage and a bed. But few have campfires.
If you're planning on a survival character (and maybe melee, too) go with the Legion.
Legion Safehouse has a campfire right outside. Has everything else too.

In the early stages of the game, nothing beats Goodspring, I think.



I gather all the not owned Sarsaparilla crates I manage to find by the workbenches and use those for storage at least
until I don't rehome later in the game. I also spend some time gathering 'obstacles' at the front and back
of that alley between the store and the saloon, just because sometimes Easy Pete walks to the crates
and at least in one occasion, I had things disappear... Damn prospectors.

Beds are a bit bloody, though.

in hardcoe try not to rush take it slow hunting is the best thing to do because theres good meat and you can sell the hide, eggs and everything else. the best meat to have is bighorn meat takes away a lot of food thing cant remember what its called. also remember that it takes time to hell and you have to use a doctors bag or a real doctor to heal broken bones, ammo has wg and followers die.

The perk cannibalize is your friend (at least my friend) take it early. Turn those corpses into meat bags. I also don't fool around with the weight of water. There are plenty of toilets around, and a few rads wont kill you :thumbsup: .

Save your doctor bags until you really, really need them. If you can get to a doc fix that limb that way. Drinking alcohol, or sunset sarsaparilla will dehydrate you quickly bring water, or be near a toilet if you plan on shotgunning sarsaparillas looking for blue stars...

Ammo has weight so pick 2 - 3 weapons, and only keep the ammo needed... Speaking of weight try to grab a companion early for extra luggage...

One very, and I mean very important perk to take is the one and only Pack Rat. It helps a lot with items that weigh 2 lbs or less. Like ammo, water, food, doc bags, ect. Don't forget you need 70 Barter to take it.

Field's Shack. It's a shack with a locker and a campfire right in front of it. I've used it for months, so storing your food there is perfectly safe.

If you're going good karma though you can't go Legion. Followers of the Apocalypse is your best bet. Very easy to get quickly, gives you good karma to attain and comes with a lot of nice equipment for you and your npc's. Beds, clean water, two refrigerators that restock their food and a live-in doctor to give you chems. It's also air-conditioned. Just saying.

Remember to eat, drink and sleep. Also consider making limb restoring items, or buying a good amount of them. getting crippled in the middle of a dungeon or mission can be irritating. You've already taken survivalism over medicine, I'd also suggest guns and unarmed. Obviously repair is a must too.
