got an email asking me to reset my stat site password can i get dev conformation that this is real as it looked a bit shady

They would never ask you.

Don't know if they are sending out e-mails but there has been a hack of the beth sites and passwords etc. were accessed -- http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1201135-please-read-hack-attempts-against-our-websites-and-forums/

I had a email that said:

'As part of maintenance for the Brink statistics site, we're resetting all user passwords. Please follow the link below to set up your new secure password. If you have any questions about this email, please contact us at brinkstats@gamesas.com.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

The Brink Stats Site team.'

Was legit to me, and I reset my password. I don't see they can 'steal' my password by resetting it, but seemed they wiped them all to avoid hacks.

^ That was the exact email I got, I was suspicious about it too.

What I want to know is what happens if we don't do anything? I just changed all my passwords yesterday, I can't be bothered doing it again.

I too recieved that email, and thought it might be suspicious, so instead of using the link in the email, I went to the stats site and tried to login, this process made me reset my password as per the emails request. All good now.
