This is the one where you see people aiming at you right? Nah. I tend to keep the enemy in front of me so I'm the one doing the flanking that someone using this perk is trying to find. I focused on other abilities.

Can I just add:
While I dont want this to sound like an attack because it's not (you can pick whatever abilities you like, downed fire is much more aggravating than this one) but I find this ability to dumb gaming down a lot. Being a averagely intelligent bloke rather than an ape means I can do all this 'knowing where the enemy is' stuff just with practice and common sense. I dont need some yellow thing telling me. It would take away a lot of the fun for me if I were to use this.

Sure that means I might get caught out more often but Brink has enough HUD noise as it is for me without adding this ability to it too.

hell yes, great perk... i go for this one rather than the "sense of perspective" ability every time... great for letting you know if you've been flanked or about to be attacked from behind ......... !!! spidey sense tingling !!!

No, I dont like the arrow flying around on my screen. I like to play the game without that.

I used it on my first character thinking it would be more useful than annoying... I was wrong and don't use it ever since. Sense of perspective is much more useful IMO and satisfies my vain side by letting me admire my character. In summation, I find the horn sound annoying and I don't like the huge bright bar clogging up my field of vision. Love downed fire with a passion though.

I didn't use it on my first character, but I do on my second.

And I must say, it is quite a useful ability. Especially Operatives often give themselves away because of it.

Never use it. I consider it to be unrealistic and essentially cheating. The on-screen display is distracting and annoying anyway.

I use it and wish that it was removed or that silencers would prevent it from activating. It ruins the stealth aspects of Brink.

hmmm, thats a good question is there any skill perk that negates the combat intuition?? the only one i can think of offf the top of my head would be the "silent footsteps" give you less of a radar hit , but maybe it applies to awareness also.

The only way to make Combat Intuition not trigger is to make your character show up on the radar prior to aiming at your target.

I like it cause it lets me know when to stop repairing, hacking, etc... and then go defend myself.

You need combat intuition! It can tell you if an enemy has downed fire or has successively flanked you from behind!

It's a must!

There's a difference between abilities that you can play the game with and those that play the game for you. CI plays the game for me and I have no interest in that.

So I'm crazy and have stupid reasoning because I prefer to play without training wheels? Good to know, I'll keep that in mind.

If you're firewalling or upgrading a command post will Combat Intuition trigger even if somebody has comms hacked since you can't see the radar while you do these things?

Oh, & I bet you the don't use the radar either?

I am half and half with this one. I do use it, especially over perspective which to me is just a waste of time if you can't strafe with it and it is genuinely useful. However I can see that it detracts from the game somewhat if your trying to flank or stealth someone (which by the way you can do, just don't aim your gun at the target till the crucial moment). The only problem I have with it personally is when it just doesn't work. For example, you have one person high and the right, it goes off, however there is someone else moving in low to the left, you get no warning.

I'd prefer it didn't exist, but it feels like since it's there it's invaluable. It's DEFINITELY saved my ass a lot of times. Especially since 9/10 bots seem to have the ability as well, and since 75% of the players I play against are bots, I feel justified in using it since it's also the only real defence against a suppressed player.

EDIT: I just realised, it doesn't "play the game" for you, it just stops the enemy having 100% of a drop on you. It can alert you to their position a split second before they fire, it's not like you're playing easy-mode or anything, because you still have to whirl around and out-gun the guy.
