Need to Raise NCR Rep! (Tiny Spoiler?)

Post » Fri Jun 17, 2011 11:01 am

Hello,

I'm again having troubles with the NCR, and on my way to see the NCR Chancellor or whoever that is who's located on the Strip. I was going to talk to him to get my wrongdoings against the NCR fixed, and inside I accidentally stole a clipboard when I bumped the interact button. Now I'm Vilified, and when I try to help the NCR by doing a quest for them they shoot me on sight and won't even talk to me! I've also killed a few Powder Gangers, and quite a few Legion soldiers.

No dice.

I really don't know what I can do, and I've looked all over the web to no avail. Maybe I'll try to kill Caesar, that should give giant +Rep towards the NCR, right?

Any help at all would be much appreciated. The NCR Ranger said she was going to bring her sickle and black robe. Scary.

Thanks,
Grumpy

That must be one nice clipboard... Can you load a save before you stole it? Also if you have chosen a side other then the NCR then you can't get unvilified with them.

That's what you get for stealing our stuff, as bad as our economy is right now do you really think we can afford to replace a clipboard because some wastland scoundrel like you took one?!

Well, the save before I stole it was about 2hrs playtime, so I just continued on. Now I'm waaay farther than I was when I made them angry. I'm partially sided with Mr. House, on Pt.3 of The House Always Wins. I kind of want to side with Yes Man, but right now I want to get this mess sorted out. Could I kill the NCR Assassins at level 12? I don't have very good weapons. Maybe I'll go hide with the BoS.

Theres you problem. You failed the quest Don't Tread on the Bear right? No matter what you are locked into helping House/Yes Man. At lvl 12 I am sure you should be able to handle the assassins I remember doing it at lvl 6. The bad thing is, is if you are a sniper build there is no way for you to get the drop on them.

I killed them with ease when I stumbled upon them sitting around near the windfarm by Helios One. Ballistic Fist, 'nuff said. Now when I wear the armor that was dropped I have a neutral rep with the NCR. Time to go make the NCR happy. And I don't think I failed the "Don't Tread on the Bear" mission because I don't remember it saying that name.
