Going down to be staying down at my brother's in Cali for the fourth, he wants me to bring my Xbox. I DO NOT want to check my 360 because they toss [censored] around and I'm not buying a 200 dollar ticket for them to break my 200 dollar game system. So I'm taking my Xbox and it's accoutrements as my carry-on and I'm curious as to whether or not the X-ray will be somehow harmful to it. I really doubt it but the woman thinks it will so... what's it gonna be?

Nothing to worry about, people travel around with their laptops and such all the time.

That'd be a horrid outcome. I'd prefer to just be safe. Not poking fun at your spelling with animosity; I just can't help but chuckle when mixups lead to the opposite meaning of a phrase.

Also, I took my desktop PC to New Zealand and back from Georgia and it survived nicely. Went through many X-rays.

My ex took his to Pennsylvania with him as carry-on and it made the trip just fine.

Electronics should pass through alright but I always pack them in a separate bag and asked that they check it by hand rather than X-ray it. They've never had a problem doing this for me.

Really? I would think they might be a little suspicious if you told them to check it by hand... but if it works, then this is probably the way to go!

fed ex it to your brothers house, do over night. it will be cheaper than the carry on fee of bringing your xbox on the plan.

but to answer your question, no, there really isn't a way to hide a console from an xray machine, Idk if your not allowed to bring them on board other than maybe they think you might be smuggling something in it but that doesn't make sense to me.

They'll X-ray it, but the X-ray on the cabin item check port is much less intrusive than the strong one at the cargo items ports. Even the oldschool film camera films that are super sensitive to radiation, survive few times through the cabin x-ray machine, so your X-box should be just fine. All my belongings (iphone, digicamera, film camera) got x-rayed when I travelled from EU to USA, and nothing happened to them. They X-ray laptops all the time, it's not gonna break one X-box

I just took my Xbox with me on a plane to England. Not even in hand-carry and it came out completely unscathed.

But there could be drugs in there!!
