I'm a new member but I recently submitted a tech support ticket because my game had become unplayable. Any of the keyboard input I entered was scrambled and wouldn't allow me to play the game. I found out that the security product by Comcast called Constant Guard which I installed, had automatically updated. Constant Guard protects the keyboard from being logged by scrambling it for unauthorized programs. Fallout New Vegas is considered unauthorized I guess. So in order to fix my game and continue playing Fallout New Vegas, I uninstalled the new Comcast product.
If you are a customer on broadband with Comcast, you have probably already been offered Constant Guard by email. This issue does not happen until Constant Guard is updated by the server, which is automatic. There may be some way to put exclusions in the Constant Guard software but I am not aware of it.
So, if you also have not been able to play because of a keyboard input error, and you have this Comcast product installed, that's likely to be the issue.
Thanks.
