I was thinking, maybe Ulysses costume is the opposite of what faction you choose. Like if you went the imperialistic way and went with NCR then he would be Caesar's Legion, and if you went the barbaric and murderous way Caesar's Legion, he would be NCR. Now the Old World Flag i have no idea. Post your comments or ideas! :fallout:

If we're going on your theory, the Old World Flag could be for when the Courier sides with House/Yes man.

I actually expect him to be a permanent companion, like he was supposed to in the first place. I think the costume may be picked in his companion quest, helping him decide which faction he (and you) will support.

Him waiting for you to pick a faction, and him then supporting the opposite seems a bit odd to me.

What if I go there at lvl 2 with no faction rep?

I actually hope he becomes a companion at the end and whatever side you convince him to stand with he will align himself with.

I still think Ulysess is an Enclave spy, having the different faction symbols so that he can more easily blend in and gather intel...

I think the Old World Flag is the standard for everyone, until they gain some rep.

What I don't get is that all of my advances are relatively neutral with NCR, Caesar, and Yes Man. I killed House. :3

He is just indecisive. Lonesome Road is all about the courier helping him decide who to fight with. :intergalactic:

I agree 100%...I think he's just like the Courier...just using the different disguises to blend in
