Can Caesar's Tent Function as Player Housing

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2011 10:06 pm

If I
A ) Kill Caesar but stay on good terms with the Legion
B ) Unlock Caesars footlocker
C ) Kill the Main Gate Guard

Will Caesar's tent be functioning player housing? The only worries I have here are that I might not be allowed to sleep in his bed and that the Main Gate Guard might respawn (I need him dead so that I can carry my weapons around freely). Are these worries legitimate or can I live like Caesar?

Kill the main gate guard and you won't be able to enter the fort any more...I'm sure he'd respawn

You can't remain on good terms with the legion if you kill Caesar; they magically know it was you who killed him. His personal guards can also see through disguises (yet most of the legion doesn't seem to care when I'm walking around wearing Caesar's tunic).

Am I wrong here? I was automatically vilified no matter how sneakily I killed Caesar.

I mean through the quest Et Tumor, Brute? That way I lose no reputation.

Spoiler
If Caesar dies during the brain surgery, you can keep a good rep with CL if you have a Speech 60 or Medicine 50

Frankly I think killing Caesar is a great way to help enforce the peace. Nothing says freedom and tranquilly like popping a tyrant in the head.

Its also good for the Legion... Eddie is only poison, and will be both there creator and destroyer if not removed.

So, people still haven't necessarily answered my questions. I'm going to have to increase my Sneak and Lockpick skills dramatically if I plan on completing those 3 objectives, so my question continues to be, can I enter the Fort without giving up my weapons (by killing the gate guard) and sleep in Caesar's bed (after killing him)?

So...?

He's not a poison as much as he is a big fat liar...but he can't really help that :sadvaultboy: he just has a tumor is all.

Really no need to go on tangents in this topic, especially as long as my question is still unanswered.

I did manage to kill the gate guard so I can carry all my stuff about, but the question still stands, under optimal circumstances can I sleep in Caesar's bed?

I've never tried to to sleep in Caesar's bed, but I'm guessing it's marked owned, so I don't think you will be able to. Also I'm thinking that gate guard will respawn.

On my NCR playthrough, I've found that Caesar's bed isn't owned after his death, but I'm not allowed to sleep there. I'm assuming that is because I'm surrounded by hostile enemies and that (I believe) Legion dogs spawn there.
