Pistolero Charactero?

Topic/title.

Hi, names Hippnotic. I'm a huge fan of Oblivion and Fallout 3/NV. I'm just visiting to discuss a Character I'm in the process of playing, need suggestions.

I want to make him basically a "Gunslinger" only using Pistols to fight things off. After awhile I noticed I needed MORE then just the Pistols for certain enemies (Super Mutant Masters, Deathclaws, Casadors, etc. etc.). So, I'm going to start getting some Shotgun perks and some good Shotguns. (Got Sturdy Caravan Shotgun and Dinner Bell as my mains)

(SPECIAL)

S 4
P 5
E 5
C 4
I 7
A 8
L 7

Now, once I get to LV2 I get "Intense Training" and bump my Strength back up to a "Normal" 5 (And I get "Strong Back" which lets me carry 250LBS of stuff, ie. equivalent to 10 Strength normally). I also get the "Small Frame" perk at the beginning to bump my Agility to 9. And an implant at the New Vegas Medical Clinic to get my Perception to 6 (For the "Sniper" perk later on at LV12).

After getting certain implants and perks this is what my SPECIAL will look like:

S 5
P 6
E 5
C 4
I 7
A 10
L 7

I don't know how many SPECIAL implants you can get (I think it's 3? Correct me plz). So, if anything i'd probably bump Endurance to a hearty 6. And get the 8000 caps worth "DEF" implant that makes you "tougher" to kill. Also, my "Tag" Skills from the beginning are Guns, Repair, and Survival. (Survival for Travel Light so I can get that early and outta the way, plus I use Campfires ALOT.)

I am LV20 now and have some of the following perks: (* Beginning Perk)

Action Boy
Adamantium Skeleton (for Small Frame)
Educated
Intense Training (S 5)
Jury Rigging
Kamikaze *
Small Frame *
Sniper
Strong Back
Toughness (2)(Helps for having a Small Frame)
Travel Light

He's basically a light body, agile Gunslinger. Also, I have Raul and ED-E with me and am sided with The Legion. Which kind've svcks cause since the NCR hate me I can't do Raul quest. I'll have to wait until after OWB releases, get both add-ons and then start my new and FINAL character probably for this game. (Only with the Legion for Achievements basically, i've done all the other storyline quest achievements).

But, yep half way through for the character (Cap at 40). Wanted to see what you guys think? And if you have any suggestions as far as WHAT Pistols I should mainly have on me that'd be great.

Reasoning for 5 Strength and Strong Back is cause I like to carry ALOOOOTT of Misc. junk around with me. I have a thing with workbenches and campfires lol. I understand I have 2 companions who can be "Pack Brahmin" but you have no IDEA how much misc. crap I will collect venturing around. PLUS, I try to have as LITTLE possible weight on me at all times cause it apparently affects you (movement, fighting, etc.)

I basically have 10 perks left to choose. I know i'm going to get Gunslinger (better Acc. with Pistols in VATS) here soon. And "Shotgun Surgeon"/"And Stay Back"/etc. for Shotguns. But what other's should I get that I don't know alot about that would help out? I want to get both the gun holstering and reloading Perks since I have (will have soon) a 10 agility.

I kind've want to recreate this same Character again once I remake a new character after the 2 next add-ons come out and I can go to 50. I don't like Energy Weapons... really at all in this game and I didn't in Fallout 3 either. Guns seem to be OP so that's just what I go with and what im used to.

Comments/suggestions welcome!

You cna get one implant per point of Constitution, BUT, a constitution implant itself does not count for this!! only what Con you start with or increase by spending perks counts
So a "natural" Con of 4 = 4 perks
I started with 4 Con and increased it to buy other perks.
Implants DO count though for unlocking perks.

I love the Riot Shotgun with Shotgun Doctor/And Stay Back perks, plus others I have for icnreased crits etc, it really kicks ass! :flamethrower:
A good sawn off shotgun with those perks, and sneak attacks, would be great for gaining "pistol" achievements (and single shot kills!)

If you are not wearing heavy armour, which you shouldn't if you want to sneak and not lose agility like many heavy armours cause, you should get the SILENT RUNNING perk, so you can sneak while running with no penalty, because sneaking up close is vital for pistol work as they lack long range accuracy and firepower...so you need to get close to take them out quick
Sneak up behind an enemy and shoot 'em in back of the head with a .45-70 pistol ;)

You should also get The Professional perk, for extra +25% damage on sneak attacks with pistols and one handed submachine guns
And the Finesse [erk for icnreasing rate of criticals.
If you use "Lucky", or "That Gun", they have a big bonus to the chances of causing a critical hit.

Ranger Sequoia. Best pistol in the game, my opinion.
Also, to beef up your stats look up the mantis leg glitch at the beginning of the game.
Won't go into detail, but some perks carry over when you re-level up. Can be handy.
