Stability vs Accuracy/Adrenaline vs Metabolism Boost

Post » Wed Jun 22, 2011 6:09 pm

I'm slightly confused about stability and how it differs form accuracy. Is stability how much the gun recoils? And accuracy is how much the gun shoots in a straight line? Is what I'm talking about considered "spread"? I know bullets, when fired from an automatic gun, don't travel in a perfectly straight line they move in more or less in a cone shaped area. Please clarify. Also does the grip do more than what is presented on the charts of stats?

I mostly play as medic and I'd like to know what you'd like to be buffed with.

I find that adrenaline could be a game saver, while metabolism boost can just be a nice competitive edge if people use it properly.

From my understanding Accuracy is how small the margin of error is when you start to fire i.e how small your targeting circle is normally/initially

Stability is how FAST and how much this circle will grow when you fire i.e a low stability gun will go from a small circle to a giant circle in about 3-6 bullets but one with high stability you could nearly fire the whole clip and it won't grow too big like the carb 9 kross SMG for example.

The gun itself might also drift in an odd direction usually up or to the side.

To be honest about the medic thing... I would rather the medic save his pip to buff my health or rez me... and if I'm a heavy I want the speed boost to get me back in the fight or to transport the item...

As far as I understand it...

Accuracy: the base accuracy. Determines the size of the reticule (tightness of spread), both from the hip and ADS. Also a factor for determining how large the spread grows with successive shots.

Stability: how well the gun handles. Causes the reticule whilst firing from the hip to be smaller, and causes the weapon to recoil less whilst ADS. Also a factor for determining how large the spread grows with successive shots.
