Joshua Graham vs Legate Lanius

Post » Thu Jun 23, 2011 3:00 am

I'd like to see this with Graham in some better armor.
His 45. and SLCPD armor doesn't really seem like it's up to par with Lanius' unique bumper sword and mega armor..
Even the fight and I put my money on Graham every time..

Nah, he needs his criticals.

I'm aware that Lanius isn't as much of an idiot as people believe but when you look at what he does after winning when compared to what Caesar does, he is an idiot. He lacks Caesar's methods and he won't be as good a leader.

He isn't an idiot, he is brutal, but the Legion thrives on brutality, not on mercy, crucifying the strong among them is a much more powerful show of strength than to give them quick deaths, the Legion isn't there to make friends with the NCR. The Legion is there to completely wipe them out.

It's not just in his dealing with the NCR but everyone. For instance he brutalizes the Followers, Caesar lets them go. There is no reason to slaughter some people. Rebuilding society based on a system of brutal efficiency is one thing... mindless violence for it's own sake is another.

Have done some research on their armor and weapons...

Both Graham's armor and the Legate's armor have a DT of 15, however, Lanius does have a helmet with a DT of 4 which gives him an advantage..

A Light Shining in Darkness has a DAM of 33 with a DPS of 144. And the Blade of the East has a DAM of 41 with a DPS of 64, however it's critical hit is a whopping 98 dam, while Graham's LSiD is only 33 dam.

This isn't counting any stats and how they would affect the two, because I don't feel like messing with all that.

You know it is Caesars policy to kill all Followers and educated people? He is showing weakness when he doesn't follow his policy.

@Carolina For some reason, Graham's skin has like 50 DT or something.

Not to bring a different thread in here but it's also his policy to enslave women, but he knows when it's more useful to break his policy.

To break the policy, it shows weakness in his resolve, and the resolve of the Legion, and the Legion must be resolute.

To be fair Caesar's gear is terribly ineffective, it's ceremonial. Plus he actually has pretty bad stats.

Caesar isn't even supposed to be in a battle anyhow.

Caesar will boastfully send others to their death but it is too scared to go fight himself.
That's the way I see it.

That's why I like Lanius and think he should be Caesar, he is strong, and knows battle, he has some respect, holds some value, in the strength of his men.

I don't mind Lanius. He'd be a way better leader than Caesar, but he doesn't even care for The Legion-although I can't blame him-merely himself and his men.

Ah but

When spoken to, Lanius reveals himself to be more honorable man than people claim he is, and care more for his soldiers than Caesar lets on. He also dislikes the amount of Legion men that Caesar sacrificed in his attempts to take the Dam, and that he would neither continue the attack on the Dam, nor lead the Legion east if it would only mean death to his army.

I still want to see a dozen ranger veterans vs http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gojira

You know it is Caesars policy to kill all Followers and educated people? He is showing weakness when he doesn't follow his policy.

Where was that put down as Caesar's policy? nowhere. All of his advisors and spies are well educated people. And its Lanius's rejection of subterfuge and sabatoge that would cost the legion victory.

To break the policy, it shows weakness in his resolve, and the resolve of the Legion, and the Legion must be resolute.
Then the legate is also weak because he'll break the same policy for a female courier.

You know what? I'll do it. I'll do NCR VS Gojira, CL VS Gojira, Mk. 2 Securitrons VS Gojiro, BoS VS Gojira, Gojira VS Robo-Gojira.

I'd have liked to see a fair fight, not him running away and shooting.

You do realize that in a fight it's all about tactics and who makes the best use of them...right? The winner goes home and the loser gets his ass handed to him.

Why is it blocked in Germany?

Music I used, apparently it's a sound recording so it's only blocked in Germany lol

@Stephen Colbert: You said that Lanius won most of the fights? In the video the score was even, which is not too shabby for Joshua given his age and condition... How many times did you pit the two against each other?
