Next Fallout New Vegas DLC

Post » Wed Jun 22, 2011 6:28 pm

I've been playing New Vegas for a while now and recently traveled across the 3 aliens from the wild wasteland perk. This reminded me of the mysterious Area-51 and how close it is to Las Vegas (135mi). Do you think or have you heard of anything upcoming DLC's that take place at Area-51? If they have no plans to I think this would be an awesome follow-up from Fallout 3's MotherShip Zeta, my favorite DLC. They could even include an alien abduction with it as well. If you have not heard of anything than this is more of a shoutout to Bethesda. Any opinions are welcome, also would like to know if you like the idea.

Well, it would be an opportunity for a military base, which from Fallout 3 they were always filled with loot to sell. :laugh:

But, the area 51 idea, eh. Aliens have kinda become like zombies lately, in that EVERYONE wants to do something with them, cause they sell to nerds.

But once again, being schizophrenic, part of me says it's an awesome idea. So I'm torn. ; ;

The devs have stated several times that area 51 won't be included in the game,m there been several threads on this alread and it never turns out well people either hate or love the alien aspect and people either think area 51 should be in because of its mystery or that it would be better to come up with something original. Personally I prefer the big empty the we'll see in OWB something new and unique not just ooooh aliens that were only an easter egg before the horror that was zeta.

We watched Schindler's List in World History a few months ago, whenever I saw that Steven Spielberg directed, I asked my teacher if there were aliens. Like every movie just has to have aliens in it.

Area 51 is over 100 miles away. Don't know what you're talking about. But we're getting a pre-war secret facility in the next DLC (hopefully, and most likely, no aliens). Also, why would they make a facility with aliens if the aliens are only encountered with the silly trait?

Aliens are everywhere. Haven't you seen Men in Black? Haven't you talked to No-bark Noonan?

Clearly if they created the DLC you wouldn't need the wild wasteland trait, as there was none in fallout 3.

I suspect they put aliens in only with the WW trait because it is a more controversial thing for Fallout, and many, like myself, would prefer aliens to have very little to do with anything Fallout. Considering that they put them in that trait, why would they create DLC that had aliens regardless of having the trait that decides whether you have aliens in your game? I think it's pretty clear that they don't intend to do more alien content, at least for New Vegas, and for my own sake, the future :P

Well, on one, there was nothing but radiation and radscorpions.

And looting the boomers proved to be....problematic.
All the kings horses and all the kings men, couldn't put me back together again.... ; ;

Nope. Bit wrong there.

Nellis is 11km outside of Vegas. Area 51 is 133km outside of Vegas.

As to the OPs idea, no thanks, we're already getting a secret military installation full of tech in the next DLC, Old World Blues. Don't need another one.

I like the idea of a more military style "Top Secret" pre- war base (say that five times fast), but I don't think aliens should be a huge part of it.
I lean more towards weaponry and armor. You know, collectables and loot.
