Why Do People...

This topic is part question, part rant b/c it's driving me nuts.

Everytime my friends and I try to find a match in this great game, stupid people have to ruin it. Sometimes it takes up to 45 mins to get a full match of comp. going. Then we finally get all 10, and the ppl just keep running around in warm-up. I tell them to ready up, and no one listens on either team, they just run around sliding into one another. We sat around waiting for these other 6 idiots to quit running around, while at the same time they kept complaining about the game and how there's nothing to do in it and it needs deathmatch b/c there's no objectives in comp. b/c the morons haven't started the match yet! Then we joined another match, when out of nowhere, this guy whom I'll keep anonymous shots our teammate while he was trying to give him ammo. So we kick him from the fireteam, and he starts cussing us out, and shooting us. Then he kept switching teams the whole match killing everyone preventing the match from being played, b/c he was a jerk, and got mad. So of course ppl start quitting and it takes another 45 mins to find another match. then of course there's the cowards who start losing the match, then they quit in the middle of it.

I love this game, I really do, but lately all I play with is idiots, who don't ready up, kill thier team, stand in one spot and shoot in a circle, or just stand there, wasting the spot of a potentially helpful teammate who wants to play. WHY DO YOU PPL DO THIS!? It's nothing but a waste of your time, my time, and your money. All week my team of 5 have only been able to maybe play 3 matches, it's to the point it takes me forever to try and convince them to attempt to find a match. Is this game doomed? Is the community shrinking too small? I hoped the shrinking community would get rid of the idiots, but now I can't ever find a match.

So is there still a decent community? Are there actually any teams out there interested in playing, or has everyone went back to "respective" games? I hope not... it would ruin a great game.

Yeah most people went back to other shooters and I suspect this game will be dead by the time BF3 and COD3 debuts in the fall. I tried, I mean I really did try to stick it out with this game, but in my honest opinion this game was rushed out and was never properly tested. The main gripe I have is the lack of real players (not bots), but that is probably due to the other issues in the game like the low ranking system and missing features/weapons once you complete the easy ranking.

The game is fun and haves tons of potential but I'm totally confused to why the Devs of the game is showing little to no support for it. This isn't sitting well with me at all. If anything...this company has taught me a very valuable lesson. The next time I'm interested in a game and if I see gamesas or SD name on the box I'm waiting until I hear some opinions from the community before I purchase anything from them again. And even then I might pass up if there is another game of interest to choose from.

The only way I see them saving this game is by providing some really good DLC...I mean really really good stuff because most of the consumers are not happy campers right now...

They've released several patches, including http://www.splashdamage.com/content/new-brink-pc-update-brings-end-game-chat-and-lots-more, a free new dlc should be out by the end of this month, and the game has been out for six weeks. Is that really no support in your eyes?

They have been modifying the game without updates as well with their "netvars" or whatever. The new patch put spawn timers and player HP on the netvar list so they can mess with that, along with a huge list of midifications and improvements... and they seem to have made the heavy weapons actually good while toning down some of the SMG's. The game flopped because the community bailed, and I don't blame them, What this game needs now is a server list for consoles too so we can find full games again. When socom confrontation flopped at the start everyone left, when they fixed it months later some came back but there was never more than 9k people playing at any one time, usually much less. But it was easy to find games because they listed the servers so the remaining couple thousand or so people could easily find matches and the community held strong.

I haven't played in weeks, but last time I did I spent 6 hours trying to find people and only got about 12 on my recent played list, most were logged off by the time I found more. It put me in games alone for 2 hours, and when I decided to just stay in an empty game and wait for people... guess how many came into my game during the next hour? NONE. There needs to be some serious improvements to the matchmaking for me to keep playing this game after the next patch releases. If it's still terrible and I'm mainly playing vs bots then I'll give the free DLC a spin and sell it.
