So today I went to a garage sale and bought the "Galatic" collectors edition of Spore for the bank-breaking price of $3.00

And it came with everything, the game (of course), the big poster, the art book, the "making of" DVD, all that good stuff. I have never played nor felt an urge to play the game but I couldnt pass up the offer. Is this a good deal though? My friend who was with said I basically stole it from her at that price, which is probably over exagerating but you know how overly prices collectors editions can be :shrug:

And since I feel like I always should ask the community, anyone else got any good deal stories?

Edit: I also got a sweet Justice League wallet at the same garage sale for .50 cents so depending on your opinion of the game that could be the better deal :happy:

Yeah, someone on Facebook I know posted pics of it running on his crappy old computer which is essentially made of wood and has a potato for a graphics card

I never got into TF though it also doesnt help that its really hard to find an xbox live match for that game.

Not sure if you can install Spore to play it as far as I know they had a key that tied in with an ea account or something along those lines.

Definitely a steal unless it isn't in very good condition. But if it is in excellent condition, then heck ya.

Yeah, the manual with the CD key code thing is in here but I think its a one time use :shrug: haven't tried it yet so we'll see, but thats ok though, I just like having collectors editions of things

Edit: And @ the above post, the condition is great, the poster looks like it was taken out and the same goes for the art book. The game disc had a small smear of some unidentifiable liquid but that came right off.

Well there's your problem. The PC version has a well and alive community and over 200 free updates of content and bug fixes.
