Will the DLCs be available on DVD?

Post » Sat Jun 25, 2011 7:51 pm

Does anyone know if the DLCs will be available on DVD?

I think it's safe to say they'll be released on DVD some day, but has anyone heard any specific info on this?

How long after their release were FO3's DLCs released on DVD?

I wanna get them, but I cannot buy them via steam (no credit card), so I'd like to know this.

Yes they will. We'll be able to watch them in Blu-ray as well.

We are not planning separate PC and 360 disc releases of the DLC like we did with Fallout 3, no.

That's bad, since I really love New Vegas and won't be able to buy them online. :nope:

But thanks for the answer.

That is the Gamespot page concerning Honest Hearts. The box art featured on the page is, to an extent, hypothetical. Because there is no box and it's only designed to look like what one would buy in a store.

Yeah. At the time of Bethesda's Fallout 3 DLC releases, I had absolutely no way to get on Xbox Live to download it. I knew they existed, and I was bummed-out until I saw The Pitt and Operation Anchorage in Walmart one day. So. Much. Joy. My love of Bethesda tripled because of that. Even if I couldn't have horse-armor on disc :P

I still don't have a home internet connection; nothing is available in my neighborhood. I've been getting DLC from friend's houses, which is kind of a pain, and a disc solution would be best for me.

Lol, I love the sarcasm of a Fallout movie.

Heck, there were rumors of a Halo movie a few years ago. It's a movie about an alien war. What makes a nuclear apocalypse any different? :hubbahubba:

The project would take the combined talents of both James Cameron and Quentin Tarantino for it to be done right imo. They should work on it together although I know Jim can be difficult to work with because he knows every one's job better than they do and he knows exactly what he wants, so sometimes he gets frustrated with them.

That would mean the PS3 version is getting its DLC available on disks, too, then?

Just to clarify, the PS3's standard format for pretty much everything game-related is the Blu-Ray disk, so...

Might I inquire as to why?

To me, it honestly would seem like you are intentionally trying to sabotage yourselves. Honestly, you guys are cutting out a whole group of people without internet who would potentially buy the DLC on disk.

To me, this seems like a very bad move.

I'd certainly buy the DLCs on disk just so I could have them, even though I've already purchased the DLCs off of STEAM.

I do not have internet at my home. I have to tether my smart phone to my PC so I can download things. I have spotty cell service at my house and spend a lot of time wondering if I'm going to lose service and have to restart my DLs again. I for one would love all of the DLCs on disk just so I no longer have to tether my smart phone any more.

It'd be great if you could follow up with a more in depth response besides the one I've quoted, Jason. Thank you.

It wasn't my decision, so I'm not going to comment on it.

However if you want physical copies of the DLC, Steam does allow you to create backup files that you can burn to DVD.

Fair enough, I suppose.

Yes, that is an option for those who have access to Steam. Like I said, I am able to tether my phone. But some people are losing out on content IMO.

Hey, at any rate. I completely appreciate the response to my questions. Thank you very much.
