Specially Created for OWB

Post » Sat Jun 25, 2011 1:12 pm

Well we all have quite a bit of time to kill while waiting for OWB. I decided to create a new character specifically for the upcoming dlc and if anyone else did as well feel free to post.
Made the following character specifically for the talking appliances in OWB. this is what I currently have planned but any help would be appreciated.

Name: Ashley ( or Ash)
Gender: Male
Special Attributes: Bat[censored] Insane, messenger of God, Hates Deadites (ghouls)

S: 8 (+1 implant)
P: 2 (+1 implant, +2 Lucky Shades, +1 Four Eyes)
E: 8 (+1 implant)
C: 3 (no implant)
I: 5 (+1 implant)
A: 8 (+1 with Small Frame or/and +1 with implant)
L: 6 (+1 implant, +1 Lucky Shades)

(sub-dermal armor and monocyte Breeder)

total after implants and anything else (I think):

S: 9
P: 6
E: 9
C: 3
I: 6
A: 9 or 10
L: 8

Tag Skills: Melee, Guns, and Survival or Repair. Recommended: Survival for hardcoe (or for more Ash-like) and Repair for Non-hardcoe (although will want both eventually).
Weapons allowed to use: Cowboy Repeater, Brush Gun, Hunting Rifle, all shotguns, all axes/hatchets, chainsaw, ripper. (chainsaw and Sawed Off Shotgun "Boomstick")

Traits: Four Eyes and 1 of the following: Wild Wasteland, Small Frame or Heavy Handed

Perks: Taken in any order.

level 2: Hunter
Level 4: Educated or Entomologist or Rad Child (any of these work)
Level 6: Bloody Mess
Level 8: Cowboy
Level 10: Shotgun Surgeon
Level 12: Toughness
Level 14: Purifier
Level 16: Jury Rigging.
Level 18: And Stay Back
Level 20: Toughness
Level 22: Super Slam
Level 24: Admantium Skeleton
Level 26: Eye for eye
Level 28: Hand Loader
Level 30 + : (whatever you want or nothing at all).

clothing: combat armor I guess?

Allegiance: Legion (to get Lucky Shades and Chainsaw) and once acquired can basically change to preferred faction. Legion I think fits most with this character though because of the army he raises in Army of Darkness.

character is based off Ash from Evil Dead. Any suggestions or help that can be given would be greatly appreciated. have a character you're making for OWB of your own go ahead and post it here.

I would take the trait four eyes on account of poor perception. Then get lucky shades. Plus 3 PER, plus 1 luck. Then a hat. :)

you can only have 1 implant per point of Con, unless you mod it :)

He does say one implant will likely be skipped, since he can't take them all.

@the OP: I would shave a point off CHA and add it to INT, with a 6 INT instead of a 5 you won't be 'dropping' a point every other level due to fractions being carried rather than rounded up. That or take it from STR, as none of your permitted weapons need more than an 8 with the possible exception of the Chainsaw. You won't really miss the 2 points of Melee skill or the small damage hit with the melee weapons you have listed, either, so it's affordable if you choose to go that route.

Responses:

@Coketail: I honestly have no idea. Was just going to play through it and see where it went from the dialog choices. After thinking about it though Legion seems like a good pick. They can be the army in Army of Darkness and makes it so I can get Lucky Shades and the Chainsaw pretty early in the game...once I have those though it is not necessary to continue allying with them...hmm. Anyone else have better ideas for faction to join let me hear them.

@Papa Khan: Brilliant idea. I think I will swap out one of the other traits for Four Eyes (any ideas on which other I should keep?). Lucky Shades will also allow me to take a point from Luck and place it somewhere else.

@General Masters: I suppose I really should but Ash is both an idiot and a genius so I was thinking 5 would be perfect for him. However with the Lucky Shades I can shave a point of Luck and add it to intelligence. 6 sounds good. Not a genius but not a complete ignorant either. The Strength being so high was done in that way because Ash in Evil Dead II was shown to have abnormal almost superhuman strength. 8 I thought was good for an abnormal human and 9 would be a superhuman.

I have changed a number of things about the character based on the suggestions given.
