Paulson

Post » Mon Jun 27, 2011 9:43 pm

So, I was thinking, what if Paulson came back in New Vegas? I had always assumed that when he landed from Mothership Zeta he ended up stumbling into Old Olney, and after a brief chat with Dave, got eaten alive....by Dave.

But then I thought: "I could totally see Paulson coming back in Old World Blues or Lonesome Road. They could pull the: 'I picked up a book called the Wasteland Survival guide. Here, have a copy!' excuse." That way, Paulson would live, and possibly make his way to New Vegas.
Just a thought. I thought I remember hearing somewhere that we would meet a character from Fallout 3 at some point in the DLC. ((Unless I was mistaken.)) And for a while I thought it would be Dr. Li, and it still could be.

Thoughts?

Ooo. Well, Ed-e makes sense, but is a little anti-climactic.

And yeah, I wouldn't look forward to seeing Paulson again, but I would like to loot that nice magnum of his again.

He would always survive maybe one hit from the aliens. The only times he ever lived to the end was when I didn't bother using him.

I m pretty sure Jason Bergman came in a thread and said ed e was it. I m 99% sure he said there would not be an actual character.

The thread is probably 3-5 pages back with a title about Fo3 character in fo nv. Maybe 6 or 7 pages back with the influx of posts about the new OWB release dates pushing it farther back.

Let's make this topic about Old World Blues release date then!!! :celebration:

....I'm joking. Part of me is sad that I have to clarify that.

It could make sense, seeing how he just left after Mothership Zeta.

I'd rather go to the damn Commonwealth and meat Dr. Li. It pissed me off that we never got to go there and do anything Blade Runner-y.

I am pondering the reason as to why people bring up random meaningless characters as if they would have a significance to the storyline of OWB.

"Hey, why don't they bring someone from FO3 to OWB and say they were abducted by the Think Tanks?"

It just makes no sense.

The rumor that there would be a character from FO3 in the NV DLC's has been discredited by Senor Bergman himself :sadvaultboy:

Maybe they're leaving it open for another game setting. They have the rights to make one more game, it could be set in Mass.

I didn't think he would have significance. Just kinda be a cameo.
