It's not automatic, but you can fire about as fast as you can click your mouse. Same style as the Service rifle.

As the others above have clarified, it is a gas operated, air cooled, light weight, hand held, shoulder fired rifle capable of firing in semi-automatic mode only. Now repeat after me:

"This is my rifle, this is my gun;
One's for fightin', ones for ......."
