Fallout New Vegas Map: What's Your Opinion?

I think that the map has too many locations for it's small size. I wish that it was more spacious like Fallout 3. I feel like I get lost in map markers.

It is actually about the same size as Fallout 3s map, only it is a more natural shape instead of a large square, and if you are referring to the areas outside the play area, those don't even matter, because the play area is the same as Fallout 3, just that the map shows you a bit of the land outside the play area. There are too many locations though.

The maps are about the same size but NV does feel smaller. I think it's because the Washington ruins of F3 are so vast and complex, there's a large underground element and the ground is flatter, in NV there are large mountain ranges that have to be skirted round.

There are to many worthless locations. Like 1 house shacks and plenty others that dont even need to be in there.

The map itself is big enough. The cilivized parts of Vegas itself could be a bit bigger though. Especially the Strip should be a little bigger. Or at least, more content. Like restaurants, diners, lounge bars and clothing shops.

I think it's a little bit too small. But not enough to where it has an effect on my enjoyment of the game.

The amount of locations seems about right to me, but some of them have next to nothing in them. Like they made them fast travel locations just to have more markers on the map. They should have had more creatures out there too, in between the locations, more unmarked locations. Traveling between locations can get boring. :snoring:

I love the fact that you asked us for our opinion then gave us a poll with set answers..

I enjoyed Fallout New Vegas quite a bit and am currently waiting for all the DLCs and patches to be released so I may play it again.

EDIT Because I fail at reading lol the map was good like someone else mentioned though I felt New Vegas itself could have been better.

The playable area of the map is way too small, you can't access half of it, it's all blocked off AND there are too few interesting locations...it's not that there are too many locations, it's that they're not of the same quality as the ones in FO3

The Strip was a huge let down. It could use a bigger civiliazed area and maybe a little more even division between the Legion and NCR, but thats just me.

This.

I was thinking when the game was first announced that the "razzle-dazzle" area of Vegas would be a much larger portion of the map.
