Video Games Qualify for First Amendment Protection

It's the parent's responsibility to regulate what their child buys and plays. It's the parent's fault if the child is comfortable with lying and hiding things from them. The first time timmy is caught playing an inappropriate game, a good parent will punish him accordingly, and watch out in the future for this behavior. Problem solved. How? By good parenting.

I think you misuderstand the law. It wouldnt have banned a single game, just forced retailers to enforce the ESRB rating system.


No I know excatly what this law does, it's called a foot in the door. Once that happens then other things occur and eventually the US ends up like Australia and bans games for the most ridiculous reasons.
