Having trouble with fomod

Post » Sat Jul 02, 2011 2:01 am

I've been trying to install the OJO BEUNO texture packs, and they come in .fomod form. When I activate them, FOMM starts up and the "Something bad seems to have happened" error message shows up. If I exit FOMM, start it up again and go to the packages menu the mod is there, but when I activate it the textures don't change ingame. Anyone know why this is happening?

Try instead, shut down FoMM, go to the folder where it stores your fomod files (should be: falloutnewvegas/fomm/), and copy the files in. Then relaunch FoMM and check in the package manager.

Hmm, I can't find that folder. Is it supposed to be under steamapps/common/fallout new vegas? If so, its not there.

Or simply exit fomm and then double click the fmod. That trick works for me :P

To explain, I go into the folder on my hard drive where the actual .fomod file is, and double click on it. Its starts up FOMM asks me if I want to copy the file, I say yes then the error message pops up. I click OK, and FOMM shuts down. I can then start up FOMM separately, go to packages and activate it. When I check in-game the textures aren't changed.
