Freezing when trying to enter McCarran

So I'm taking my first vacation time this year, and got up early as is my MO (despite wanting to sleep in :nope: ). I started playing my pro-NCR character, and headed out for camp mccarran. Frankly, I'm doing my damnedest to get Ed-e and Boone through all their missions, and gaining rep with the MCR to bring democracy to the wild west. I found the camp, and I started out on finishing the thread of quests from that location. I got through the "interrogation" (and it was very fun tricking that legion punk into giving up his secrets and then killing him in front of Boone). I picked up the first hints for some new quests, and then started on the saboteur mission where you take down the leak.

And here's where the frustation started. Every time I tried to enter the camp mccarran outside area (you know, not in the terminal, but in the camp itself), my game froze mid-load screen. Every time. EVERY TIME. I could go out to the monorail and back in. I could go into the concourse and back into the terminal. But none of the doors from the terminal into the main camp worked. Always froze. I tried going through every door, and it froze. I then thought, Hey here's a wise idea! I'll go out by the monorail (which is outside) and fast travel to the front gate, and enter that way. Well, the game froze trying to enter that door too. I had to shut down the xbox every time to reboot.

I decided to let well enough alone at that point, and my son took over playing a new character. I've been looking all over the internet trying to find a solution, and eventually kicked the boy off to try clearing the cache. I did the LB+RB+X combo when starting the game, and I tried a door. Well, it seems to have worked. I quick saved the game outside the terminal on a new save, just in case, and turned the console back over to the boy. So I'm not entirely certain the bug has been resolved, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Oh, by the by, I have not downloaded any DLCs or patches, as it's not hooked up to the internet.

EDIT: Update rather than double post. I confirm that the clear cache has fixed the freeze glitch. I have now completed all but one of the missions for mccarran, and have not had any issues. (*cross fingers*)
