Wouldn't it be nice if OWB and Lonesome road added a few random encounters in the Mojave or maybe even the patch could add events like Legion fighting NCR in specific areas something like whats seen in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSq1dSGYYFM&feature=related. Also wouldn't it be nice to wander around and see a ghost person who drifted too far from the Madre, a Yao Guai nest in the desert or even a Lobotomite attacking a waste-lander on the run?

Yea but Sierra Madre is on the other side of the map from where OWB will start. I'm not buying that. Bears don't live in the desert. You need to rethink these.

lol I know, they were just examples really to what I would like to see. Like depending on who you side with you might see NCR Ranger Vets fighting a group of Legionaries or exterminating a Death Claw Nest. Vice versa. Would make for an interesting play through. You could help out or loot corpses and such XD.

Hell maybe we walk out of good springs and might see 2 or 3 Ranger vets camping out at Goodsprings camp area or we go to Jacobstown and in the mountains hidden could be 2 or 3 frumentarii trying to ambush NCR personel.

New Vegas isn't built to support random encounters they cant just add it in.

Also random encounters are the lazy mans way of making game content, im glad there are none.

You mean like how they were not being lazy by putting a small amount of enemies that we know everthing about and are no challenge at all?

How so? If New Vegas runs on Fallout 3's engine, can't it support random encounters. No hostility, just wondering.

DLC can't interact with each other or the base game its been stated by Jason, the exception was veronica's dialouge and that was planned for and a one time thing again said by Jason a bethesda employee so it's not going to happen. In 4 I think they'll add back random encounters new vegas suffered a lot of cuts since it was pretty ambitious and a lot of those cuts were existing features like weapon crafting and random encounters longer dev cycle means we'll probably see improved versions of those. They were nice and really kept later playthroughs feeling at least slightly different but if it came down to more or better quests or random encounters I'd take quests every time.
