Android Apps and Widgets

Post » Mon Jul 04, 2011 3:38 pm

Ive just bought an HTC Wildfire S and for those of you who use Android products, what apps or games or widgets would you recommend?

EDIT: YEAH I managed to type that^ with my mobile. Took me a minute, but that's a better time than my previous 10 minutes for a simple text! I'm getting the hang out of the touchpad finally.

Thank you exo. :) I'll start downloading them now. :P

EDIT: I've downloaded them all except for the skype one. ^_^

EDIT: HOLY [censored] @ THE BARCODE SCANNER AND GOOGLE GOGGLES.

By the way, why is it that some contacts appear with a picture in my text messages and others don't - but I do have a picture saved for all of my contacts (some I took a picture myself, some where integrated over facebook). I assume it's something to do with SIM and phone contacts. How do I make it so that ALL my messages use my phone contacts rather than my SIM contacts (SIM contacts don't allow pictures, and I basically have everything duplicated).

Also, is there an app for hotmail? I've used the ActiveSync way but I think if there was an app it would run smoother.

I would suggest maybe it's linked your contacts to your Facebook account or something similar. On my phone (the Desire HD) any contacts with the same name as my Facebook friends, it will automatically link them together, saving their picture, e-mail, phone number etc. Quite a useful feature.

Whatever you do, not Angry Birds :P

If your into e-books, I recommend the Kindle app, although small screens aren't the best for reading. Tablets, on the other hand, are perfect.

Get Angry Birds!! Unless you value any free time you have. You will lose plenty of it, and seriously, it's not even that fun

Yeah my facebook contacts have been synced. But I don't get their images in text messages or when they're phoning. It's like my phone uses SIM contacts for messages and phoning instead of the ones used on my phone (hence my contacts pictures don't show up when phoning/texting). What gives?

Yeah I prefer using real books when reading, using the computer or a screen gives me a headache!
