Transformers:Dark Side of the Moon

I tried doing a search, it came up as, "no results found" since I find very wierd since "transfomers" should have produced some results. I looked at the first 5 pages didn't see it, so I wanted to make a thread of it since I am bored. :)

I know lots of people didn't like Transformers 1 or 2, but I liked those movies and I like 3. I still think 2 is the best, but 3 was really good. I was dreading that it was in 3D since it was the only one to see at the time. The 3D comercials were giving me a headach a bit, and was dreading it but surprised once the movie started, the headach went away and was actually pretty good. I still find it a gimick, but still the story was just Ok, but it was still a great 2 1/2 hours to be entertained.

I was a bit disapointed with the generic Decepticons, and after fighting what seemed the Ultamite evil Decepticon in 2, 3 was a bit anti-climatic when fighting the villian part. I mean, it just wasn't the same, like come on, you already beat the Fallen, everyone else should be a piece of cake.

The action was great, the comedy was ok. At least they didn't have the six humour like they did in 2 (humping dogs) so I didn't have to explain to my son again about the "Stormtrooper Dance" again. (type stormtrooper dance on youtube to see my explanation)

So all in all, I thought Transformers 3 was great. They screwed up a bit on the science, but didn't really take away from the movie. Lots of great action, story not bad, but the acting seemed a bit "wierd" like they were on something, can't really explain it.

Over all I am glad I went and saw it, since most movies I wish I saw on DVD (like Green Latern for example, wished I waited for DVD)

So what did you guys and gals think of it?

I thought it was the best of the series especially concerning action. It felt different in a way from the other two where it was almost certain things would be fine. Plus Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is much hotter and less annoying than Megan Fox. Sorry I had to bring that up. :teehee:

Michael Bay, boom pow, asplosion! Gagagag, zzzap booom!

It looks okay but even in the trailers, all they show is explosions and stuff getting destroyed, which does seem to be how Michael Bay likes his movies.

Close. You forgot the required stereotypically offensive characters, the out of place slapstick humor, shooting all the military scenes during a sunrise, focusing on The Daily Life of Sam and Friends for half of the film, and reassuring all men watching that women are incredibly sixy (With awkwardly long closeups of T&A, of course).

Oh, and Deep Wang. Michael Bay sure likes some Deep Wang.

Thats literally the only reason to go watch Transformers or any other pure action movie. Exepecting anything more will leave you sorely disappointed.

I went there expecting exactly that; just explosions and fighting. I was sort of disappointed though since I felt that there weren't enough fighting scenes with the Transformers.

Too much Shia Labeouf, again, and not enough transformers kicking ass.

All I can say is, he better have not fooled around with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley out of the camera, or else Jason Statham will just have to rearrange his face.

Better than the second one.

Spoiler
It did however, remind me of the Doctor Who episode "End of Time" with the whole "bring back Cybertron" deal and the similarity of the Megatron/Sentinel and Master/Timelords betrayals albeit for different reasons.
