Dig, fight, explore, build! Nothing is impossible in this action-packed adventure game. The world is your canvas and the ground itself is your paint.

I kinda took a break last week when my hardcoe character died. BTW hardcoe isn't exactly hardcoe. When you die you drop all your items and then respawn. You can still get your items back if you go searching for them. My character just died in a very inconvenient location.

Well that and the health/mana reset.

I was kind of annoyed at how easy it was to recover, but my items were easy to get back to, I haven't died in a long time.

The more I think about it though, I can't really come up with a better solution to make it more unforgiving, except item destruction which I know nobody would like.

Part one of the dev blog is up on Terraria Online. Inventory management is the talking point, but the screenshot shows 14 mana stars(280 mana) and I believe a new item(96 stack of yellow balls?).
Hopefully it comes out soon and fixes the dungeon and EoW bugs too.

That stack of 96 things looks like the light emitting things from the underground jungle.

Been working on an underground highway out of boredom. Word of warning, you will splatter on the bottom if you don't have featherfall or rocket boots.

Build a shelter. Like, right now. You don't want to be outside when the zombies come.

You should have an axe. Cut down some trees and use the wood to construct a workbench. Walls come in two flavors, normal and backdrop. Build the normal walls first then add the backdrop walls (constructed at the workbench) to keep stuff from spawning there. Kill some slimes to get goo then use that to make torches. Add a door or two and you should be set for the night.

To add to this, "normal walls" are not called walls. If it has "wall" in the name it's a background wall, which aside from coming in a variety of appearances keeps monsters from spawning there. Bricks and blocks of various materials are what will make up your normal walls, since they stop access and can be walked on. The hammer is used to remove background objects, including walls and placed objects like chairs and workbenches. This does not destroy the item, just shifts it from "placed" mode to "dropped" mode and lets you pick it up.

Be sure to talk to the Guide once in a while, if not for the tips then for the the fact that you can show him an item and he'll tell you what crafting recipes it's a part of. Really useful when you find something and don't know what to do with it.

Also, is anyone else not able to connect to Sivartus' server?
