Bond, James Bond

Post » Wed Jul 06, 2011 2:29 pm

Hiya. :D I just picked up Fallout: New Vegas today and was wondering what the perfect James Bond build would be for such a game, and who to side with -preferably not why for lack of spoilers-. Gambling, suaveness, whatnot. Please help. :D

Regards.

I would probably get a 10mm Pistol and silence it just for coolness. Get a stealthy build that goes for sneak and crits. You know, a good ol silenced shot to the head. Definitely take the Lady Killer perk. I would probably side with Independent Vegas(not House). Get some speech up as well.

Hope I helped somewhat.

Actually I think a 9mm pistol is more James Bond-like. If you look at the design, the 10mm just looks silly. :)

Yeah the 9mm, while modeled after the Browning Hi-Power, is closer to the .31 ACP of the Walther PP7 Bond carried.

Seems like it depends on which Bond you're trying to emulate. I've only seen a few of the one's from the 90's with Pierce Brosnan as well as the most recent incarnations so my knowledge on the entire catalog of Bond's is lacking. If you want a Bond more focused on swagger/charm etc. I'd say focus on speech primarily with guns and sneak as your other choices. As for a weapon I'd go with the 9mm as well though I'd recommend mods to grab the proper Walther PP7 if you're on the PC.

On the other hand if you're leaning towards a more utilitarian, effective yet still some what charming Bond like the one from Casino Royal/Quantom of Solace I'd focus a bit more on guns, hand to hand, sneak with speech on the back burner.
