The Big Empty... in the Mojave Wasteland?

At 1:27 in the qore preview, Chris Avellone says the Big Empty is IN the Mojave Wasteland. Seems a little odd. I thought it was worthy of discussion.

That is odd, unless he was talking about the entrance.... far as I know there isn't a Big MT in Nevada.

Well, the Mojave encompasses an area far beyond the playable area. The Sierra Madre is in the Mojave as well. Also, it is likely that it is a fictional location. The Big Mt. Pass in Utah is right next to where Honest Hearts is anyway, it seems kind of strange to put 2 DLCs right next to each other. It is also likely that the entrance will be the train tunnel in the Southern portion of the map, as that is right next to where the crashed satellite from the Qore video is supposed to be.

It could be Big Mt., AZ, A.K.A. Black Mesa. Which could make the location of the Big Empty a Half-life reference.

Doubt it would be in AZ. Especially not Black Mesa, it isn't in the Mojave desert. Also, it is a problem for NCR supply lines. My bet is that it is in California directly south of the the worldmap.

Well if you look at the area surrounding the facility in the qore preview it does look like a desert

I'm more concerned about how in the video it says a bunch of scientists took my brain and now I have to fight through the DLC to get it back. That's just really dumb.

That's a gross oversimplification of the DLC's, and taking your brain out has got to be the DUMBEST of them all.

It's debatable if FO3 is canonical anyways.

Takings your brain out is also a gross over simplification of Old world Blues.

no its not debatable if Fo3 is canon lol, Bethesda has the right to call canon and Fo3 is canon

I will quote this from the video.

"So you wake up and the first thing you're told is that they've taken your brain."

"The plot of Old World Blues is do what the Think Tanks need you to do to get your brain back."

I supposed you missed the entire part about there being a greater threat you can side with or help the think tanks destroy. You will get your brain back before the end or else you wouldn't be able to work against the think tanks.

There's kind of a flaw in your logic. You wake up, and the first thing you're told is that YOU DON'T HAVE A BRAIN.

Yeah but you get your brain back, shortly after arriving, doing some task and proving that you are trustworthy, then they tell you whats going on and you can side with them or kill them. the entire DLC isn't based around WE TOOK YOUR BRAIN NOW DO 23 MINDLESS TASKS FOR US SO WE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU BACK THAN LEAVE

But that's the whole idea, that you did something without a brain is incredibly dumb.
