Brink BETA

If BRINK 2 came out I would expect it to be good, as this is a beta they have allot of chance to test it, hang on.... they advertised tonnes and made amazing trailers for people to spend £40 on a beta.... assh#les
Most beta's i have ever played have been better quality and more finished and polished, with less problems and a better working online than this beta. and this beta costs money..... its a full priced game..... for a bad beta...... what has the world come to

To me. Brink is a BETA that i payed full price for, and with less content than all my other full priced games. Sure, I spend time on it and have fun testing it and waiting for it to be finished/polished/and fixed matchmaking/netcode. BUT you shouldnt even have a chance of paying full price to test a beta, its rediculous.

Besides the lack of a lobby system and the somewhat lackluster customization its my opinion that SD delivered on their core promises. If you look at all the different classes abilities and weapons Id say that this game is extremely well balanced and provides a very enjoyable gaming experience. The SMART system actually works better than I thought it would, overall I am very pleased.

Im not sure how people got the idea that this game would come with an indepth SP storyline, all the dev vids / reviews I saw pre release advertised it as having its SP play like MP (and allow you to lvl the same char in either mode).

So far Ive leveled one of every class to 20 and am working on my dual spec classes and have yet to get tired of it. Every match allows me to figure out a new way to use whatever class Ive chosen to help my squad. If youre getting bored, try switching up your tactics / character build. The new content will be here shortly and Id rather wait another month for this DLC than pay $15 now. Lord MW2's DLC I dropped $15 on and it only had 2 new maps (2 of them were old snipe maps from MW1, talk about a rip off).

Im not talking about or this has nothing to do with sp/mp (even though 'sp' is essentially multiplayer exactly the same but in bot mode, well it is bot mode)
But my opinion that Brink being and feeling like a bad beta for a full priced game, its not a fact, but my opinion, and a very valid one.
Therws many reasons why hardly anyone who bought it plays it.

Brink's release was definitely more akin to a beta with the technical issues it shipped with. Not to mention all the little tweaks and balancing they've been making like the last patch PC got fine tuning the weapons. They really should have had an actual open beta to balance and fine tune a lot of the game instead of rushing it out the door at the last minute and hoping to still make huge profits off of an unfinished game. Just look at how the price has decreased so fast since release, killing most of the potential for dlc sales and sequels. It's still a diamond in the rough that I enjoy, but I won't pretend it is the genre changing game I was told it would be.

Oh and "One of the most exciting elements of working on Brink was bridging the gap between single player and multiplayer. All the story telling, all the character, the drama, the pacing that you get in a traditional single player game and then on the other hand you've got these fantastic multiplayer experiences, which you can't get any other way." - Richard Ham, Creative Director.

They would never have been stupid enough to have an open beta for it, even if it would have been good for the actuall game, all they care for is money, half the poeple who bought wouldn't have bought it after playing a beta, like I said even the game as it is now is technicly one of the worste beta's ive played.
Instead they spent allot of time and money on advertising and hyping the game up to get people to pre order and buy the game new. Now they have a good amount of sales but hardly anyone plays their game because [in my opinion] its practicly a Beta. But they dont care, they have their sales thats it. They will continue to treat their customers like cr@p by not speaking to them atall like they were doing oh so much before the game came out and slowly realesing patches and if we are lucky actually some more DLC down the line, but considering the playerbase I cant see much DLC atall coming as it would be no money for them.
