OK, I'm level 4 with my first character. Just bought the game. I go check out this Mojave Outpost full NCR folks, get a quest to scope out Nipton or some such, fine. Did that. Then the Colonel wants me to clear the road north, fine, but the gate is locked and says it only takes a key. Where or who do I go to, to get this oh so important key?? I didn't see it laying around the outpost, and I don't want to kill everyone there to see who has it. It does not come up in any dialog with anyone. Any clues? :banghead:

you cant go through that.. lol north is the other way. so instead of going to the gate go the opposite way to clear the road,

Well... that's not north. Try following the quest marker to the underpass between Primm and the outpost.

The gate -cuurently- leads nowhere.

It's possible it could be used as the entry point to one of the remaining DLCs.

Or it could simply be for ambience. Instead of a wall or a blockage of wrecks, there's an actual gate through which the NCR troops pass into the area. In which case, it'll be like the gate at Mama Dolces in DC. That had a 'key needed' message, but there was no key and on the other side around the corner was just the edge of the game world.

I wonder why they didn't just mark it [INACCESSIBLE]
