I've noticed quite a few similarities between this forum and the arc in Brink. On one side, you have a group of people defending the game for what it is and are trying to improve the community (security). On the other side, a group of people who complain about being "lied" to by the creators of the game and continuously make posts about how they were cheated out of the game they had imagined (resistance).
Basically, the Resistance should stop complaining so much because if the Security had not taken them in they wouldn't have survived. Also, those of you who don't like the game... you are not trapped on this forum, no one is preventing you from leaving. So fuel up your imaginary plane and get the [censored] out of here.

Well, i'd have to say it does make sense, but i'm more towards the Resistance (In-Game, I love it, so yeah), but on here, I don't find myself as much of a "Security" type, i'm more in the neutral: I recognize what the game has failed to do, but also notice what the game accelerates at. In fact, it IS a revolutionary type of game, it's not everyday you see a game that gives you such mobility around a map, but it could use actual game modes (TDM, CTF/CTI, etc. Not a CoD fan, i'm just saying I enjoy a little bit of a no real objective gameplay now and then.) But, I still love it and play it much more than when I bought it (old POS 360 didn't play it worth crap, new one works like a dream! ) I've already gotten my main character to lv. 20, and hope to work on my others soon enough. Haha, yeah. Because you know, it's not like we're complaining because of some of the faulty aspects of the game and just wish to have them mended. (Like Lobbies) And be able to enjoy our game and play with other people with much less hassle. Oh, i'm sorry if criticism isn't nice to the game as it didn't fully deliver. (Not like they always can though. But this game should of had more) And finally, yes, let's move even more players away from this already dying game.

There's nothing wrong with some constructive criticism. But, there are too many people on this forum reposting the same garbage about how they're threatening to return the game so they can get their allowance money back.

Yes, lobbies and improved match-making would be great. Yes, a game with minimal lag would be amazing (I've never had a problem on my PS3). And yes, the "precious" DLC would be most desirable.

I'm not trying to single out those with valid arguements/helpful suggestions, just those who continue to waste their own time and ours as we scroll through multiple mounds of useless, ill-phrased comments of ones struggle to express their contempt for a video game.

At least you have the ability to point out the positive and negative aspects of the game... so don't take offense.

Your kind of criticism is the right kind. Because it comes with an objective view, and is delivered in a mature, non-trolling manner. It's the morons who come onto the forum making posts that no one even cares about that's the problem. In two days, Brink will be 2 months old. At this point, we all know what the problems with the game is. For the people who "hate" Brink so much to still be around on the forums spewing their garbage means they figuratively and literally have no life, and want to do nothing but disrupt those of us who do still enjoy the game, flaws and all. Those are the people who need to singled out and collectively blacklisted from the forums. There's a big difference between objective, constructive criticism and disruptive, nonconstructive trolling. If they split the forum into two sections, one where only positive ideas, threads and comments are to be posted, and one where negative comments were to be posted, you'd see how much more busier the positive forum would be, and how much posts on the negative forum would read EXACTLY the same. Then maybe they'd realize how their attempts for attention at Brink's expense would be futile by comparison, and they'd all go away like lambs.

Problem is, the repetitive arguments come from both sides. (I myself can be accused on this point, i've repeated my issues a few too many times on this game.) Most of the defense and attack on this game is becoming stale, and annoying. Sometimes it's better to leave it be then to interfere, or post something to point it out.

I never took offense anyways. I know where you're coming from. And as for people who threaten to leave... either they will or they won't and were just complaining as many tend to do.

@Oz70NYC: Very true. However I haven't seen that many negative nellies (Who hate just to be hatin') and trolls on these forums. While I agree on some level it is annoying, on another level it's needed. (What level, I don't know. And i'm sure any speculative thing I say about it would be considered flaming and get me kicked. Again.)

Isn't complaining about complainers against the forum rules? Instead of complaining yourself just go report those threads that are just trolling/flaming.

You're also expressing a very biased view, that could be considered flaming itself, where those defending the game (quite often blindly) are good while those that feel cheated by not getting the game they were promised and want it to be improved are bad.
