As I played through Brink, I felt that it could definitely be turned into a film. The story is compelling, in my opinion, and with some real character development, I think it could make a good action flick. It would have excitement and great action sequences, especially mixing parkour and gunplay (Casino Royale showed a glimpse of that). Plenty of drama could be presented through the characters and their struggles within their own factions and then between the Security and Resistance. Don't forget throwing some female fighters in as well, appeasing the women crowd, possibly developing a romance, if the need arose.

I'm aware that the chances of this happening are slim to none, and video game to movie adaptions svck generally, but if it was done right.....

Does the community here think this has legs? It's a good, solid story, with two sides that can be presented equally, leaving the audience to side with who they want.

What would be more likely to happen would be a internet video series (each vid a couple mins long) filled with CGI action similar to that in the CGI trailer.

I'm well aware a feature length film won't happen. I guess the point of this was to see if ya'll thought it would make a good one, content wise. To see if you thought the story could be fleshed out enough to do something with it.

It could be, but it probably be one sided and ruin the story. Security, (Or perhaps Resistance) Would probably be villainous and not given any real kind of good aspects. Moeka (whatever his name is) and Chen, either one of them would be made to just be a big baddy.

It'd basically be [censored] up, so, not much reason to think about it. A comic series would work better though... Or as said, short videos.

It would be tough to present both sides equally without one side, presumably the Resistance as you said, looking like complete bad guys. I like the comic book idea as well. That would definitely be worth reading. I would like to see CGI shorts made in the vein of one of the earliest trailers they released, showing the different characters free running and shooting at each other, just with storyline intertwined. That trailer was my favorite, by far.
