Nightmares

Hello, I want to know is there a way to give yourself a nightmare? I'm written a script/book on fears/nightmares and I need to get some nightmares.

Normally you have to hook a cart up to the nightmares, and continue dreaming before you can write a book/script about them.

Some folks have unique dreams after ingesting such foods as chocolate, cheese, and turkey.

Really I don't think its a wise idea to give yourself nightmares. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_terror

What scares you? If it's a movie, watch it before bed. If it's a thought or a memory, think about it, dwell on it before sleeping.

No, no. That brings a feeling of euphoria, not nightmares.

For me, whenever I smoked within 15 minutes before going to bed, my dreams were very vivid and....different...

Nightmares sometimes form when there are fears or worries that you're not addressing, and your mind keeps dwelling on them. So find something that fills you with dread and spend your waking time mulling over how inescapable it is. Of course, reading Stephen King's "It" before bed probably couldn't hurt either. :P

Whatever you do, make sure the monster in you're nightmares don't come alive and eat you. Cause they did that to me, and it really svcked.

I actually read somewhere that eating candy (specifically chocolate) before bed will give you nightmares. Don't have a source though.

Probably the most reliable way to give yourself nightmares is to make yourself really sick. I wouldn't recommend giving yourself salmonella or anything. There are ways to make yourself sick at your stomach but I'm not going to suggest any of those either since they all carry health risks.

Man, I bet you'd love to be me, I get nightmares every night. No joke, its so bad I've lost sleep because I dont want to fall asleep and face another nightmare...I should probably see someone about this :P

Anyway, I dont know how to have as vivid nightmares as I do every night, perhaps its because I eat a lot of spicy foods and have an overactive mind (I think about EVERYTHING at night)
