Hello, I just brought a PC and it came from Germany so everything is in German and I can't speak it. I manage to get pass the set up but how do I change the language to english? I'm using my laptop to get answers. Thank you so much

Completely passed set up?? As in you can log on??

If so try typing "Sprache" in the start menu, and see if that brings anything up. If it does try clicking it and if you see the word "Deutsch" in a drop down menu or similar then you're in the right place.

The thing that comes up when I type that in is Windows-Spracherkennung and other long words that is not Deutsch

Try clicking on a few and seeing how far you get . I'm not german at all so I'm just throwing ideas out there.

I can't get on the internet /i haven't got a adaptor yet aslo am I going to have to pay money to change it to english

Typing language into the search bar ( I have Windows 7) I found a bit called Region and Language, this bit was from the Help page concerning changing the language;

1.Apply regional and language settings to reserved accounts.

2.Click to open Region and Language.

3.Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.

4.Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK<- From the Help page about changing the language.

Note
If you don't see the list of display languages, you need to install additional language files.

EDIT: I don't know what it would be called in German, but the icon was a little clock-face in front of a globe. http://i.imgur.com/jZZLl.jpg thought you could use it to look for one in German with a similar layout
